I don't really disagree with the principle, but it's quite self-fulfilling. You don't get rid of a manager if he's doing well, so he'll probably last longer than 3 seasons. Those that aren't doing well generally don't get that long.
Probably because he's a massive dunce. Left his manager short in the summer then waited til the end of winter where so much damage had been done before making any significant signings. Between him, Levy and Postecoglou we've got the un-holy footballing trinity.
Again there is no evidence that they 'left it' until the end of the window it;s just how the window works. There is an interview with Johan on YOu Tube where he explains the window.
You need two or three seasons to tell though so sacking on results before the third season is usually wrong. You need to work out when you're losing trust in the manager not look at short term result streaks.
Yes there is evidence, because we signed Danso on the 2nd and Tel on the 3rd of Feb… they’re the last two days of the window. We needed players in on that first week, we didn’t and we lost every league game in January. This is on top of an abysmal summer window that left Postecoglou high and dry.
I felt my ears burning, and here you are. Hi! I'm still Ange in. Let's get the key players back fit and see the season out. We ain't getting relegated and we ain't moving into the top 4, so what difference does it actually make league wise who the manager is? The only replacement will be Mason, and you think he'll do better than Ange, I don't know what to tell you. The European cup is still in play. Coming out of the other cups may even help that cause. There is a slim chance, it might be anorexia level slim, Ange is Luke Skywalker in the in the X-Wing attempting to destroy the Death Star. Sacking Ange now will only empower all the pundits and Spurs haters who'll then say, louder than ever, "Spurs win nuffink and keep sacking their managers" I can just see the two Jamies now. Damned if we do damed if we don't. Give the man a chance to do what he says he always does. Anything else looks similar to Sacking Mourinho before the final. Will we win it? We won't know if we sack him. I personally wanna give him the chance to continue his 'I win things' prophecy.
It was obvious that we couldn't afford to spend much so we were relying on players we could get on loan. Hard to sign players early on with that restriction.
That is not evidence of leaving it and you also don't what if any other targets were pursued. Watch the video.
I don't need to watch a 12 min video of him trying to gloss over what's been a complete failure on his part over the past 7/8 months. If you want to believe his words that's your prerogative. Ultimately he left his manager high and dry in the summer and then left business so late in the winter that too much damage had/ has been done. Postecoglou - whether I like him or not - was as close to begging for new signings as feasibly possible the moment that winter window opened.
Journos also said Guehi's entourage weren't even aware a bid was in the works. Most deals these days you usually find a player has verbally agreed in principle to speak/ join a club, Guehi didn't have a ****ing clue It stinks of "oh we tried" knowing full well we'd fail.
Yeah, probably because he knows Lange is useless, so of course it was going to be difficult. Ange literally had to do the DoF's job to convince Tel to sign after he's previously rejected us.
Ah right, so Ange knew we had no money but when I told you about Steve Bruce expecting Grealish to leave Villa as they were ****ed financially, you said he wouldn't have a clue on club's finances. Interesting how the goal posts change, Power.
...they made the highest bid possible in response to a season ending injury for Dragusin. As far as I can see, if that had gone through we would have no money left to spend at all in the summer if we exercises the options Tel and Cardoso.
Couldn't afford to spend much, so the one chunk of money we did spend early was on a goalkeeper we were going to sign in the summer anyway, adding him to a squad that already contained four goalkeepers. Genius.
Villa were in a takeover situation where there is always a very short list of people who need to know. We were not. Goal posts static.
