They are claiming it is because Israel has violated the truce agreement, but it is unclear what this means. My interpretation is that this is a power play coinciding with Trump's series of speeches and the resumption of Netanyahu's corruption trial. It will be designed to put pressure on both. Tbh Trump genuinely needs to just shut his mouth. No need for any statement about the future of Gaza whatsoever until all of the hostages are home safe. He's only making a very delicate situation much more precarious.
This is a good thing. As we were talking about earlier, the PA needs reform and this is a step in the right direction. There's no peace in the future without some kind of recognised Palestinian governance, and the PA for all of its flaws, could still be the vessel for that Abbas will be dead soon, the guy is nearly 90. I hope that Fatah can establish a decent system of a PM and Cabinet to take the executive decisions and move forward with this.
A spokesman claimed violations had included "delaying the return of the displaced to the northern Gaza Strip, and targeting them with shelling and gunfire". If that's true, Israel need to wake the **** up to the consequences of derailing the ceasefire. If it's not, then Hamas need to release a statement saying when those hostages will be released. The whole thing is on a knife edge right now And the last thing it needs is Trump opening his gob, as you've already got Israel Katz with his itchy trigger finger just lusting for more bloodshed.
He just can't ****ing help himself can he ? US President Donald Trump has said the two million Palestinians who would be resettled in neighbouring countries under his plan to take over and rebuild the Gaza Strip would have no right of return. A clip of the interview was released a day after Trump said he was "committed to buying and owning Gaza", despite global condemnation of the plan he unveiled last week. The Palestinian Authority and the armed group Hamas, whose 16-month war with Israel has caused widespread devastation in Gaza, reiterated that Palestinian land was "not for sale". But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised Trump's proposal as "revolutionary and creative". The UN has warned that any forced displacement of civilians from occupied territory is strictly prohibited under international law and "tantamount to ethnic cleansing". https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cn57neepx4vo
****ing scumbag Former Israeli minister says Israel should return to war in Gaza published at 18:00 Former Israeli minister Itamar Ben-Gvir says Hamas' announcement should have "one real-life response: a massive fire attack on Gaza, from the air and land". The far-right former security minister resigned from the Israeli government in January, in protest at the Gaza ceasefire deal. Ben-Gvir also writes on X there should be a halt to humanitarian aid reaching the Gaza Strip, including electricity, fuel and water.
Got to be honest mate, it was my first thought when I heard the Hamas announcement, I don't trust them and how long before they start lobbing missiles over again. You can see from the release of the last three hostages this is no where near ending. I feel sorry for Palestinian people, well women and kids, but sadly Hamas only understand their own way of doing things and that's violence. So the ****ing scumbag here for me are the terrorists who dress up as soldiers when not hiding behind kids.
Colour me shocked. Send the heavies in. Clear the dump out. Make them wish they hadn’t delayed the hostage release by one second. Give Ben Jamal and ****ing Corbyn something to really get what’s left of their teeth into. I’m bored.
This. You can’t have the terrorists who started this now calling the shots on the peace agreement saying they’re aren’t handing the hostages over. Only people with agendas won’t put 100% blame on Hamas for this. Benny should be on the blower now telling the IDF to let the boys go and have fun for 24hrs. Light the place up and cause as much chaos and destruction as possible. Once they’re done tell them Hamas bastards if the hostages aren’t released on Saturday no Palestinian will ever step foot on that land again and this time they’ll not stop until they’ve executed every Hamas member and supporter. No country would let terrorists call the shots like this and Israel should be no different.
Good post until you undermined it with an unnecessary slur ... suspect Archers, just like me, would condemn such a mechanism without prevarication - shame your intellect only flows in one direction and you are unable to do similar when it comes to condemning illegal occupation and settlements, which are also distinct 'obstacles on the road to peace' ...
It’s **** like that which gives fuel to Hamas. Netanyahu doesn’t care though, he’s lapping it up. He either gets to play golf in the US/Israeli riviera complex, free of Palestinians, or he gets to resume his dirty war again. Pair of ****s
Following the delay in hostage releases, US President Donald Trump - a key ally of Israel - says the ceasefire should be cancelled if "all" the hostages held in Gaza are not returned by Saturday. He says he wants "all of them, not in dribs and drabs, not two and one and three and four and two". "I'm speaking for myself," he stresses. "Israel can override it." If they are not all returned, "all hell is going to break out", the president says, telling reporters that "Hamas will find out what I mean." I agree with him here. This is all on Hamas, hand the hostages over or the IDF should move back in and run wild.
Unbelievable. You were banging on about people being entrenched in the views about Labour yesterday. I’ve seen me and brb praise them on here when it’s deserved. We’ve both made it clear that we think Trump is a ****er. You’re a massive hypocrite mate and need to take a look in the mirror. This is all 100% on Hamas now and you’re still performing your whataboutery. Hamas started this with their terrorist attack and Hamas are now potentially starting it up again by refusing to release more hostages and ultimately bringing the peace deal to an end. If the IDF move back in, which they should and have every right to do so, you’ll be on here spinning it that’s it’s Benny and Trump that’s the problem
I heard a SKY journalist make a comment about Trump yesterday, and I just bit my tongue and said nowt, this seems the right time to raise it. The SKY journo called Trumps policy 'ethnic cleansing' - now I'm going to assume I heard it out of context, but my thoughts primarly were I never heard a SKY journo, ever, call Joe Biden 'genocide Joe,' despite all the deaths happening on his watch. It's the double standards that are applied that aggravate me - when at the front of this is Hamas, the guys that dress as soldiers for weak captives, but then hide behind children when real soldiers come along.
