To sack or not to sack?

I don't really disagree with the principle, but it's quite self-fulfilling.
You don't get rid of a manager if he's doing well, so he'll probably last longer than 3 seasons.
Those that aren't doing well generally don't get that long.

Left his manager short in the summer then waited til the end of winter where so much damage had been done before making any significant signings.

Between him, Levy and Postecoglou we've got the un-holy footballing trinity.

 

Again there is no evidence that they 'left it' until the end of the window it;s just how the window works. There is an interview with Johan on YOu Tube where he explains the window.

 

You need two or three seasons to tell though so sacking on results before the third season is usually wrong. You need to work out when you're losing trust in the manager not look at short term result streaks.

 

Yes there is evidence, because we signed Danso on the 2nd and Tel on the 3rd of Feb… they’re the last two days of the window.

We needed players in on that first week, we didn’t and we lost every league game in January. This is on top of an abysmal summer window that left Postecoglou high and dry.

Let's get the key players back fit and see the season out. We ain't getting relegated and we ain't moving into the top 4, so what difference does it actually make league wise who the manager is? The only replacement will be Mason, and you think he'll do better than Ange, I don't know what to tell you.

The European cup is still in play. Coming out of the other cups may even help that cause.

There is a slim chance, it might be anorexia level slim, Ange is Luke Skywalker in the in the X-Wing attempting to destroy the Death Star.

Sacking Ange now will only empower all the pundits and Spurs haters who'll then say, louder than ever, "Spurs win nuffink and keep sacking their managers"

It was obvious that we couldn't afford to spend much so we were relying on players we could get on loan. Hard to sign players early on with that restriction.
