Suarez needs to concentrate on doing his job - scoring goals. All this pantomime villian stuff is just a distraction IMHO
He did it in front of an audience though didn't he? An audience that contained children. So effectively he was sticking his middle finger up to women and children. Were they calling him a cheat? ****ing hypocrites the lot of you. You know damn well had it been Rooney you would want a 4 match ban.
Abebayor got a £25,000 fine and suspended two match ban for that. The FA might have banned him outright, but he got a three match ban for stamping on Van Persie in the same game so I think they decided to suspend the ban for the celebration. He also claimed he was subject to racist abuse (IIRC) which was another reason they went easy on him. That said, Gary Neville only got a £5,000 fine for celebrating in front of the Liverpool fans a few years back, and Balotelli got no punishment for taunting the Utd fans in the FA Cup last year. So it'll all depend on just how inconsistent the FA are feeling this week...
I think the Adebayor decision was intended to set a precedence for future cases of inciting the crowds. Neville's was before that wasn't it? Was the Balotelli one when he stood in the penalty centre circle? I think that one was a lot less overt than the others that have been referenced, I think they're merely trying to reign in those that go much further than he did. Not that I'm trying to stick up for the [sweet] FA rulings
He is a grown man and yeah he can tell the crowd to do what they want but then he has to accept the punishment that comes with that (and undoubtedly the FA will want to get at him...he's a Liverpool player). If he gets banned for this then he has to learn from it and not do it again, the last thing we need is him missing games for **** like this. I just don't agree about him being right to go to ground at every opportunity either, it's costing us possession and giving referees excuses to not give the decisions when he does deserve them. The lad might be a very talented footballer but he's **** all use to us sitting on his arse and even less use sitting in the stands. He needs to keep his head down for a while and start using his brain more...IMO.
to be honest suarez needs to re-examine his values and also he should realize how important he is to the team. if kk don't curb some of his excesses he may end up a big liability to LFC.
Suarez is a brilliant footballer, but still a cheat. He fell over numerous times when he wasn't even touched and what makes it worse is that he seems to be teaching Carroll to dive too. If he swore at the Fulham fans its a disgrace and brings a dark cloud over the club and deserves what will inevitably be a 3-4 game ban. As a player i love him as a person (from what i have seen and heard) he is a ****. However i still back him over the scum bag which is Evra
Provocative gestures to the crowd are inflammatory and do have to be dealt with, but the behaviour of the crowd should mitigate the punishment a little. For someone to take constant abuse without some sort of response is asking for an almost superhuman degree of restraint. The FA cannot be seen to condone such gestures but they should take into account the provocation. I thought Wazza got his ban reduced to one match on appeal btw, but I could be wrong.
maybe suarez should grow a tashe like a panot villian and twirl it... some fans seem to think his a dick... dasterdly type.. I think he's more like a braying donkey with those teeth the way he goes on at refs, honestly! but overall i think he actually really hurts us half the time falling over and giving it away, then half the time he does amazing things.... frustrating right now. kind of like garcia.. he'd make stupid passes and give it away then go one amazing thing.... suarez is looking like a guy who just can be a nightmare when he's on song but unless we've bette rguys up top with him he's too much a focus and every ball goes to him creating
Funny how the Liverpool fans wanted Rooney to be hanged for swearing but want Suarez to be let off for swearing.

Now do your jobs. Find out whether Cole and Neville were punished -- Cole for doing precisely what Suarez is accused of, Neville for doing something similar and surely no more excusable. If you find that they were indeed punished, then inform us, and demand the same for Suarez. If you find that they were not, demand equal treatment for Suarez, regardless of the fact that he is your pantomime villain and does not play his international football for England.
