Sat waiting in a queue to get through the Tunnel, again, and listening to good old Spotify (the free version) got me to thinking which was the biggest musical act I’d seen live and which act was my favourite. Biggest, and I think they’ll be hard to top (but not impossible) is The Rolling Sones. Was at St James’ Park a few years back before they became slightly embarrassing. They were brilliant especially Jagger. Favourite was harder to pick. Close between a few with favourable mentions to the Specials, Slade, Lindisfarne but the winner goes to Santana. What about you lot?
Judge Jules at Creamfields Finley Quaye was there too The Chemical Brothers Daft Punk Pete Tong Carl Cox in Ibiza - he was meant to be at the above festival but the ****e didn't turn up
Gotta have a bit of Bon Jovi sometimes. Actually I'm changing my answer for best, although Slayer are awesome live, the best live show/spectacle would be Rammstein for the live show.
And also I saw Iron Maiden at Twickenham stadium, so that was joint biggest, but I didn't think of that and had to mention Bon Jovi first. Doh.
Springsteen Stones Queen Quo All at St James' Black Sabbath x 2 Van Halen QUO x 2 All at the City Hall Rush x 2 At the arena ACDC at the Mayfair Geordie At Dunston Excelsior
Not actually been to that many tbh but loved all of them at the time and seen most more than once. Status Quo. Bryan Adams. Meatloaf. Lindisfarne. Showaddywaddy. Mud. When I lived in Walker overlooking the river I could totally hear the concerts there back in the day.
