Hereford result was indeed another level. Gets forgotten that they beat us in a replay as they had already drawn at St James in the first match 2-2, having equalised with a 25 yard shot then. I could talk about the divide between the league being larger now than it used to be (and it clearly is) but they were a 5th division side and we had 6 internationals in our team. Ooops.

I think this is what happens when you only put out £200m+ worth of players on the pitch for a game. Made it a level playing field.

Looking like 3 of the big 6 can't even make it to round 5 of the FA Cup never mind the super league.

I'd like to think it's humbled them, but it won't have they'll still want their arses licked.

My wife, bless her, knows nothing about football. I mentioned to her that Newcastle were playing Liverpool in the League cup final a few days ago but we were definitely second favourites. When i told her Liverpool had been knocked out of the FA cup she asked, without a hint of sarcasm "does that mean you'll win that one then?".

No. No it wont.
