Feel a bit deflated after the game. Thought Watford turned up and played well, thought we had a bit of an off day. IMO did not think it was a penalty however I can understand why it was given. We should have had a pen and don’t understand why that was not given. The ref had a bit of a stinker and allowed them plenty of latitude whilst booking our players which I thought was a bit 1 sided. On reflection a drw was probably just about fair. DN has to stay in the holding role at start of games as he is the one who sets our drive and tempo, if that means shuffling the other midfielders then so be it.
It's fair to say Samed was not at fault for the 2nd. You had Le Fee, Neil and Rigg closer to him while Samed was in position behind them. Rigg has to be dropped midweek if Jobe is fit.
Don’t fully agree with that Bob. They were very physical and to an extent were allowed to be. We managed that aspect quite well but we were a bit off, especially in midfield.
No one is ever wrong anymore, it just moves onto the next thing. There were many who said we missed the best chance of promotion we'd ever had just 2 seasons ago, and yet here we are with an ever better chance... But they're now just saying that this is our best chance and it'll be harder next year. There were many who said we couldn't compete without spending millions on experience. Now they're saying we can't get over the line because we didn't spend millions. When we eventually get promoted with this strategy, they'll say "you can't survive in the Premier League without spending millions on experience." Same for players and coaches. In the summer, if we're not promoted, there will be people saying that RLB and Speakman have "taken us as far as they can". They can't ever be wrong because they just move the goalposts to justify their anger.
Cramp used to be something players got during extra time on the old ''heavy wide'' Wembley pitch. Players are supposedly super fit compared to old, so how the ref cannot suspect feigning it after only 75minutes of a regular game is incomprehensible.
Just watching those 1 on 1s back. Such poor finishes. Wilson could have comfortably used his instep to bend to near post. Simple finish for a player of his quality.
And that post absolutely nails it tbh. Some of the comments coming out of the ground were laughable but understandable in the heat of the moment. Some of the posts on here 'after taking time to think', were worse. Yeah just needs a good coach who knows his stuff, give him a call.
Am sure the coaches will be working with him daily and reviewing the footage. It was a poor finish. Poor choice and even worst contact on the ball.
Yes, and everyone on the planet, including him, knows that ... ... I'm struggling to see your point, it's just repeating what was said at the time and after the game.
My point is that I have watched a back and made a comment. Unless that falls foul of this boards terms and conditions or the law of Smug?
I've looked at your post and made a comment. Unless that falls foul of this boards terms and conditions or the law of Prehab? It just looks like you're either trying to tell everyone something they somehow managed to miss ... ... or having another pop for no good reason. I have to hand it to you, any time we don't win you don't half put a shift in ... nights yesterday and back to days first thing this morning.
Nailed it. Yet, the reality is right in front of them. From League One playoff winners, no Champions, to automatic contenders, in 3 years, which a youthful, vibrant and incredible valuable squad of developing players, minimal debt and risk (whoever else stays down is in BIG trouble finances wise) and a manager who is learning and growing (and becoming more and more animated having tried to be a cool cat for 4 months…). I get frustration, my god I get frustrated at times, what I don’t get is a determination to be negative and tear it down. Version 1 - ‘we’ve dropped points again at home against a team below us who’ve been in poor form’ Version 2 - ‘we’ve shown tremendous heart to battle back against a good side who chose this week to put in a performance. Despite being physically outgunned and not being at our best’ Now both are accurate, both essentially say the same thing, but it’s about what you want to focus on and your mentality. Picking up points when you haven’t played well is what gets you up.
