    Totally achievable.
But - we are Bristol City. Never underestimate our ability to fail.

Watching Blackburn parade their new striker on Friday evening really got to me with their ambition as compared to ours.
It lifted them before a derby match and weird how events can change seasons.
Jealous I maybe but a battling 9man display yesterday might bring our club together just at the right time and losing Williams and McCrorie for a few games isn't the end of the world.

He has been linked with several clubs this season. If it’s true, we might get a fair wedge from this, who knows maybe enough to sign a player or 2…….

Brian Tinnion delivers Nahki Wells contract update as Bristol City suffer Swansea City defeat

More BT waffle, I might stand alone but this guy is slowing our club down, especially with Junior hanging around his neck, it's time to move him out, stick him back in the academy

Wells has rarely been our first choice striker and probably the reason Tinnion went after Armstrong and Fally.
Fans are raving about Wells now but are judging him compared to the inexperienced duo Tinnion brought in last summer.
Says everything about our ambition when we're getting hung up about a 35year olds contract.

in my sport[ hobby ] there is a large % of over 70's still doing what we did 50+ years ago .... although certain physical loss of some "body parts" might hinder the speed we achieve things from the past!!! the morale here though is though the human body responds.... we have had a few players get up into late 30's and been advantageuos same in my sport .... dodling along till they got into their 30's then having a long 20- 30 year hiatus. then slowing down gradually till 80 or beyond.

USE IT OR LOSE ... NEVER BEEN a more positive saying .... if you allow age to interfere with your mental approach you are doomed. Nahki could easily be a 10 -15 goal a season player for another couple of years...................................

I think Wells is also a good role model for the younger players. He’s an asset in the dressing room even when not picked.

However good Wells is as a mentor and good influence in the dressing room it’s pretty pathetic that he’s our number one striker at 35 and is hardly prolific
As for the rest of the strikers they’re not worth their wages

Bristol City ‘Hierarchy Anticipated’ – Ex-Striker Points To Robins’ Lack Of Transfer Business

Former Championship star Sam Parkin thinks that Bristol City’s lack of activity in the winter transfer window indicates that they might be expecting the Robins’ season to peter out.

Bristol City are in the race for a place in the playoff as they sit only three points adrift from sixth placed Blackburn Rovers in the Championship.
How ever, despite being in the race for promotion, Bristol City did not bring in any fresh faces to strengthen Liam Manning’s squad in the winter window.

Parkin thinks that the Robins are a decent side, but they still lack players in certain areas and he thinks that Bristol City needed to win against Swansea City at Ashton Gate to lift up the mood of the supporters on Saturday, which they failed to secure.

He stated that Bristol City’s hierarchy might believe that despite the promotion chances their season will peter out and added that not having the confidence in Manning’s side to be promotion contenders has led them to refrain from spending money in the winter window.

“I think all the criticism directed at obviously the hierarchy at Bristol City due to the lack of activity; they needed a result against Swansea just to give them a bit of impetus and a bit of feel-good factor around Ashton Gate”, Parkin said on Championship Score Predictions Show.

“So I am going to go for it to maybe peter out the season, maybe as the hierarchy anticipated, hence not making a few last-ditch signings.
“They are a decent side, Bristol City, but they are short in a few areas.”

Bristol City have lacked consistency this season and they will now welcome Stoke City to Ashton Gate on Wednesday night.

Of course by' Bristol Hierarchy' he means, BT & Jonny Jnr or Dum & Dummy.

Bristol City have lacked consistency this season…..’
This could be a quote from any season since our promotion season under Cotts.
Neither Cotts, LJ, Deano, Nige and now Liam have managed to sort us out.
Streaky we are and streaky we’ll stay….

LM is doing fine .. unless you havent noticed the positions of the league table! and looked at the wider picture!
this season top 4 aside the rest are either pretty much above sides or pretty much below average from 5th to 13th are 2 wins v 2 losses of top 6 in 5th ..... from 6th to 15th 2 wins v 2 losses in 6th posn
10 teams are within 6 points of 7th.
However it is not that simple that in 2 games any team will advance 6 or 7 places ... depends on fixtures. WE have a mine field of a run in.............

    home Midds / Norwich / W B A / Sunderland / last game PNE ............ Away .... Cardiff / Sheff u / Burnley / Leeds ! I can only see 7 points there! so no more than 20 points to season end!

There are 4 teams better than all the rest in the Championship and one of those (Leeds) are probably the best of all.

The other 20 teams competing, by and large, are all much of a muchness and in those 20 teams, anyone can beat anyone on their day.

absolutely, it has been happened throughout the season so far after we lost to portsmouth they upped the anti a tad .
Plymouth whilst at the bottom are not hung out to dry yet! In fact employing the 2 wins v 2 defeats [ 6pt spread ] DERBY IS IN A VERY DELICATE POSITION! as could be Portsmouth. City is 10 points above danger and given the right results tonight could be in top 6!
