Who’s done that like? It’s not an excuse, it’s just evidence that us dropping points isn’t terminal to our promotion hopes right now as all the others are dropping points at least as often as we are.

Smug mate he spent half the game just pointing at his watch, which is a refs get out clause, that’s nothing to do with impetus we have at the time. He thinks it’s satisfactory that he can add time on, then considering the amount of subs hardly put anything on
I don’t know how many times he had to point to his watch when the keeper had the ball, but he just let them do it time and time again

Just got home and only read the last page. I wasn’t going to at all as I knew what it would be. We’re not consistent but I didn’t think we were that bad. Quite a few misplaced passes but it happens. Missed Jobe I think. The players we haven’t seen much of were decent enough. Prefab - I’m really surprised at your comments about Poveda, but funny how people see things differently. I thought he was a great attacking threat, more so than Roberts. Bit more game time and I reckon he’ll be dynamite. Still happy after today. I can’t let a draw ruin my weekend. Good to see the effort although we could have done better. Perhaps people just too high after boro and naturally expect more. I’m looking forward to Luton now. Once upon a time I used to go and watch a Sunderland that couldn’t care less. These players are a joy in terms of attitude and effort but just don’t always find a way to make it work.

The moment two Watford players dropped to the floor, off the ball, was typical. Game stopped, no trainer and both continued as normal …

… they’d obviously forgotten who’s turn it was.

We’re 5 points behind Sheff Utd now so it is though. They’ve picked up 12 points in their last 5, Leeds have picked up 13 and we’ve picked up 9 after failing to beat the worst team in the league (again) and one of the worst away teams in the league.

You can argue it’s not terminal now because at the end of the day there’s points to play for but it’s pedantic at best and these dropped points against poor clubs are inevitably what people will see as the chances we didn’t take, not losing away at Sheff Utd..

That was just ****ing pathetic and clear time wasting. Was just like when their centre half went down in the box when were in their third and the ref stopped it. We were in the middle of getting a load of steam up and he stopped the bloody game!

5 mins with barely any further additions was pretty poor mind. He can point to his watch all he likes, he didn’t add all that much on in the end. What happened to the 9 and 10 mins of additional time we were seeing last season? Did they just forget about that directive?

Exactly and there’s only one solution to that problem.

Couldn’t get to the game but watched on tv

We really miss Jobe, we need to find a way to get Le Fee central and Mayenda on…

Salis can go home for me…prefer to see Alexis on (sp?) with DN holding
I think automatics are a step too far but would happily have taken play offs given how we finished last season…

Even if we go up…lots of work to do…

It’s not pedantic at all, man. Every bad result is ‘that’s why we’re a playoff team’ and then nowt said the week after where it evens out. Maybe it will get away from us in the end. However people posting ‘that’s it, we’re done’ after every setback is frankly performative. There’s posters on here who were rolling that out in the autumn, man:emoticon-0102-bigsm

Aye they didn't half gang up on Poveda, I was wondering if they knew something we didn't. Tough game for him but I thought he held onto it well, attacked the box and put a couple of crosses in. Decent showing, I'd like to see him get a proper chance.

Did anyone find out why Ballard was brought in for Mepham? Was it an injury or just to put Ballard on the pitch?

Should’ve been booked as soon as he got up! Obvious to everyone watching but seen far worse, ingly not the only person who could do anything about it! Pathetic doesn’t cover it

Just shows how out of touch with the rules I am. I thought the ref only stopped the game if it was a head injury, or clearly serious. Silly me.
    Bloody annoying like

Tough to get Mayenda on and ELF central without compromising. Can play wide but it doesn’t get the best out of him. I’d like to see him come on for Isidor at times - earlier in the game if possible. On days like today hindsight would say to start 4-4-2 but that needs to be with ELF out wide initially. Would leave us too open otherwise imo.
