What we've learnt.

Guilavogui and Darlow are way off the pace

Solomon and James make us tick

Chambers will be our next breakthrough player
and unfortunately Joseph isn't the answer... thought chambers showed a lot more in his first start...if piroe gets a bad injury we're in deep dodo :emoticon-0148-yes:...still we'll have to keep remembering this..Clarke 1 nil <whistle>

If they're only gonna put a half arsed team out they should only charge fans half the ****ing money to watch it

Darlow, Schmidt, Ampadu, Struijk, Byram, Gouilivogi, Rothwell, Gnoto, Ramazini, Chambers & Joseph should be beating Millwall. Especially if we’re saying there’s 3 first teamers and 5-6 who people say should be starting.

Was visiting family today so missed the game. I got score updates though. I'm not disappointed with being out the cup but now I've looked up the side we put out and read this thread, it doesn't seem like it was a very good performance.

Schmidt has been one of our best player:emoticon-0148-yes:
Struijk and Byram has been very very poor:emoticon-0148-yes:
Sorry Norway, totally disagree. Schmidt was ok going forward but defensively he has proved Farke is 100% right letting him nowhere near the first team in the Championship. 7 or 8 times wrong side of his man in one game and trying to play in the wrong areas. Looked ok for the first 10 or 15 minutes, after that not for me.

Big French lad, slow of foot and even slower of mind. Thought Chambers did ok for 50 minutes but not wow like Jack Clarke at the same age. Rama and Rothwell our best players today, everyone else about a six.

Still I’d have taken that for Sunderland drawing (sorry Rog) every day of the week.

Need to beat Watford now and load the pressure on the Blunts before their tricky game against Boro.

MON the whites (sorry SIDDAS I think I’m stealing that <laugh>) :emoticon-0148-yes:

Just got in from a grey and miserable day in Leeds. Here are the ratings from my uneducated view.

Darlow - 5. Disappointing 2nd goal was Meslieresque. It was at the other end of the pitch but seemed to go straight through him. Punched a ball that should easily caught. Nothing could be done about the first.

Schmidt - 6. Did well in patches but also switched off a couple of times. Looks short of confidence.

Ampadu - 6. Poor passing and defensive errors have crept in to his game recently. Bang out of form by his incredibly high standards.

Struijk - 6. Okay defensively but that missed penalty was a big chance to turn the tie around.

Byram - 7. Defensively superb but the lack of a left foot unbalanced us. Was the pick of the defenders though.

Guilavogui - 5. Actually did well for large parts of the game but it looked like his deflection for the first goal and he gave the ball away for the second goal. Should have had a penalty for Tanganga throwing him to the ground.

Rothwell - 7. Never really got to grips with midfield but did at least try to drive forward on occasion.

Gnonto - 6. To be fair he was constantly fouled throughout with no consequence to the perpetrators. Dipped in and out of the game without really dominating.

Ramazani - 7. Probably our most potent attacking threat.

Chambers - 7. Good first half, should really be scoring. Fell away after half time and rightly replaced.

Joseph - 4. Horrible afternoon. Ball didn't stick and his passing was dreadful.

Subs.

Tanaka - 6. Didn't really improve things but did okay.

Firpo - 6. Gave us width but never truly threatened.

Solomon - 7. Different class and the game would have been different if he started.

Piroe - n/a

Debayo - n/a
