It wasn't the final though, it was the last 16. We were knocked out by ... erm ... the then non-league Tranmere Rovers in the quarters. Big fixtures in a proper tournament.

god I had forgotten about those competitions. They were dreadful…..full members cup, 40,000 at Wembley for a final nobody cared about.

He’s probably just there for the experience mate. Probably not the right time to throw him on when the game is in the balance like this.
 
Garnacho’s end product is so poor. I don’t get the hype about him.

At a time when Everton were one of the best teams in Europe but couldn't compete in it. Think English football was in a bit of a malaise at that time tbh, hooliganism and all that.

Sad to see Leicester Yoof graduate celebrate like that especially after all the club did for him.
