He was only a 3 year old lurcher, where I walk is pretty safe (well not enough) He chased a fox (I can tell how he barks when after a fox, he was only small so would have **** himself if he caught it) I called him and went back out twice looking for him. I got a call from a vets in Gateshead, broken legs, broken ribs, a man in a van had picked him up from the road, the car in front of him hit him but never stopped, I hope Karma catches you, you scummy bastard. He was put to sleep before I got there at my request, I wish I had been there for him in those last minutes, I hope the twat driving that car gets what he deserves. Its just a rant, have to get it out
Ah bloody hell mate, so sorry to hear that. Absolute twats trick not to stop mind, hope karma comes around as you say. R.I.P. to your Lurcher, he was a big lad.
And for the only time in my life, The Vet said, dont worry, you dont have to pay, its free, I will just note him down as a stray
So sorry for your loss mate. Being a dog owner all my life i understand how you feel. Hope Karma catches up with the driver. Just stop and help the dog. Accidents happen but help the poor thing. Rip to your dog .
I'm so sorry for your loss mate. It's horrible when that happens, when the bastards don't have the decency to stop. Keep strong.
Awful mate. If anything happened to my boyo I’d be an absolute wreck. Hope the **** who ran gets what they deserve.
I think he was chasing a fox, so whoever it was, probably couldnt stop in time, but the twat should have pulled over and helped him, fortunately the lad behind in the van took him to the vets
Bloody awful mate. Surely the driver knew, they had hit something. How can you not stop. God these pets mean the world to us. Have my mut next to me now. Love her to bits. My neighbour has fancy cats. One is a wanderer. Didnt come back and after 24 hours was called by a vet who had him. Knocked over and left like your lad. He was rescuable at the vets thankfully, but the poor bugger isnt the same. Nowhere near the wanderer he once was. Hope you are coping mate. Dogs love us unconditionally and however short their life is I have no doubt yours are special.
TY, he was such a sweet little dog, spoke to the breeder about him today, when I am over this I will be getting a puppy who is a relative. He was supposed to be my dog sitting with me in my van (which I havnt got yet)
When my boy Monty had to be put asleep during covid it took me months to get over it, I couldn't be with him when they put him to sleep due to restrictions and it honestly broke my heart. Now we have Lola and I'd be lost without her the big lazy lump
I have another 2, Roker is 14 now and her legs are starting to go, not sure how much longer she will be here, Dylan is 2, he is an otterhound, complicated life at the moment as me and the other half have split up, but we havnt sold the house yet, so still in the same house, she his keeping the hairy adolecent, I will be keeping the old girl
