we had gears left, thats all i'm saying. wasn't very exciting compared to a do or die game or years gone by. If it had gone to halft time level maybe we would havegone up the gears so once we socred that was that wasn't it?
it will be fine. why? cos slot is managing the squad in so far as he wants to and has nearly everyone fit in doing so.
Nah. The one who made a bad career move but was happy sign every deal put in front of him. The only public domain info essentially klopp tried to buy him at dortmund and failed and he went to leverkusen instead having turned dortmund down. In truth son signed a new deal with an option to extend in 2021 at age 29 so he had his choice then He joined spurs in 2015 amd has basically been there since achieving not a lot in terms.of trophies but has had good personal numbers for a left winger. Scored a lot of goals. If he wanted his move he could have gotten one same as kane.
I would have been happy to welcome Son if he came here (definitely prefer Son to Kane)- who knows if it was ever a realistic possibility. Wouldn't want him now though, not that he isn't good.. but obviously a bit old at a time when we already have several aging players.
In 2021 would you choose mane or son. They are the exact same age. Ignore how their career's have done now. Son signed that new deal in 2021 so that's when he was actually available. I'd not have swapped mane for son then. Right after the trio one the league after a champions league?? Son has good numbers but we have what we have.
Swap them? No, but he can play anywhere across the front. He would have been valuable to use and would have made choices slightly more interesting and kept Salah and Mane honest. Would have made losing Mane the next season less painful.
Mane was the best player on the planet in 2019 and 2020 IMO (including Salah). I still think we could have included Son in that squad from 2021 because Bobby (who I worship) was beginning to decline. As said, he had his choice and that was to stay with Spurs, so that is that. I'm still a bit wistful about what might have been though.
