http://www.pinknews.co.uk/2011/12/0...=feed&utm_campaign=Feed: Pinknews (Pink News) Homo chants cost more than people think. And more shocking there's a gay paper! I thought we were all equal.
Sorry before i get slated. I meant to say that surley if the reports are worthy they can go in more generic papers. Thats all.
Surely all types of abuse should get you a banning order then? don't see why it's any more insulting calling someone a homophobic name than it is calling someone ginger, fat, ugly or whatever. It's not a good attitude to have to be a homophobic but there are many derogatory words that are used at football and maybe they should be equally punished? for example to use the C word in the family enclosure is unacceptable and i think far worse than using a homophobic word.
Agreed it is cringe worthy when i hear some of the abuse. I can swear good and proper but you need to be aware of your surroundings. Its my guess this guy was trying to be the big shot and got shot down.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokeswoman said: **** off you stupid woman and comment on a subject you're qualified to talk **** about.
Sometimes though I ask myself does the punishment fit the crime. Not condoning his action but somehow that seems to me a double punishment. Personally I think he should appeal especially as the other guy had his charge withdrawn!! We really are turning into a Nanny state!!
The problem is now that football fans are treated as second class citizens. Arrested for pathetic things which the OB can justify under section 5 of the Public Disorder Act. I'm sure everybody has done something under that act at one point or another. But suddenly this now comes with a 3 year banning order plus court fees. We're not in the midst of the 80's anymore, Hampshire Constabulary are an absolute joke when it comes to the punishment they deal to football fans. Compare this to United fans, who can let of flares inside football stadia yet they recieve no punishment. The OB choose when and if they can be bothered to pursue a case, this one in particular because it makes them look good and they can say "told you so". Covered widely by the press before and after the game. Nice little bonus they will be racking up a week on Sunday too. Can't wait for someone to challenge them in court over the "bubble trip" being a breach of Human Rights.
I'm just making the remark. There is no malice behind it. I just don't understand how it can be dropped against one person and the other gets a 3 year football ban. He must of had a good excuse.. Maybe, "I'm gay so I'm allowed to say it."
I understand the charge was withdrawn!!! Not sure why they do not say........seems strange though......and only one caught ? Things are not adding up......but hey what do I know ?.......
Firstly I just need to point out that it's "must have" not "must of". If you wish to at least appear intelligent, you'll have to sort that out. Secondly, to be arrested there must be reasonable suspicion or an accusation that you did something. It's hard to prove a crime until after the arrest and questioning. Thirdly, I'd love to hear some elaboration on your comment about Asians. Lastly, if you wish to start some personal beef with someone, it's advisable that you make it less easy for them to insult you.
