This same guy also tried to do this in 2021, apparently.

BREAKING: Republicans Push to Abolish OSHA—Because Worker Safety is So Overrated!

In a move that would make even the most villainous corporate overlords shed a tear of joy, Republican Congressman Andy Biggs has introduced a bill to abolish the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Yes, you read that correctly—why have workplace safety when you can have unregulated capitalism at its most dystopian?

The entire text of this legislative masterpiece is as follows:
"The Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 is repealed. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is abolished."

That’s it. No fluff, no filler—just straight-up worker sacrifice on the altar of deregulation.

What is OSHA and Why Did It Exist?

For those who might be unfamiliar (or just incredibly privileged), OSHA was created in 1970 to ensure that workers don’t get maimed, poisoned, or straight-up killed while trying to earn a paycheck. It was the result of decades of labor activism, fueled by tragic and entirely preventable workplace disasters.

Before OSHA, it was common for:
☠️ Factory workers to lose limbs on unsafe machines.
☠️ Miners to drop dead from toxic dust inhalation.
☠️ Construction workers to plummet to their deaths due to lack of safety standards.
☠️ Children (yes, children) to work in hazardous conditions without protections.

OSHA stepped in with mandatory safety regulations, inspections, and penalties for companies that decided to treat employees like disposable cogs in their profit machine.

    Who Will Be Affected?

The better question is: Who won’t be? The abolition of OSHA would hit hardest at:
Construction workers – Expect more deadly falls, electrocutions, and collapsed scaffolding.
Factory employees – Say hello to missing fingers and unregulated chemical exposure!
Healthcare workers – Bloodborne pathogens? Who cares! Overworked nurses and understaffed hospitals? Totally fine!
Warehouse workers – Because why would Amazon want to slow down their breakneck productivity rates with worker safety?

Let’s not forget small businesses that rely on OSHA guidance to avoid lawsuits. Without it, they’ll either struggle to implement safety protocols or get sued into oblivion when accidents inevitably happen.

    Who Benefits From This Madness?

Corporations & Billionaires – Because worker safety costs money.
CEOs & Shareholders – If fewer safety regulations mean higher profit margins, that’s a win (for them, not you).
Union-Busting Politicians – Since OSHA works hand-in-hand with unions, its destruction would be another blow to organized labor.
The Funeral Industry – Increased workplace deaths mean booming business for coffins and cremations!

    The Bigger Picture

Abolishing OSHA isn’t just about workplace safety—it’s part of a larger war on labor rights. The same people cheering for this also oppose minimum wage laws, healthcare access, and paid sick leave. Why? Because in their ideal world, workers are disposable, powerless, and too afraid of losing their jobs to fight back.

This is the ultimate test—will people actually fight for their right to not die at work, or will they let politicians like Andy Biggs turn every workplace into a Victorian-era death trap?

Jenrick's opinion on anything is worthless, in fact if he says anything you should automatically believe the opposite.

    Spiked is digital toilet paper.

The Conservatives negotiated the vast majority of this deal, they seem to have forgotten.

Also Badenoch is refusing to read the security briefings in relation to this, despite them being available to her. It can be left up to our own interpretation why she is choosing to be deliberately ignorant over something she appears very opinionated about.

    - USAID has been wasting tax payers money on, amongst many other horrific things, censorship and propaganda across the world

What a surprise. Who could have guessed?

We are living through historic times, where finally the money source for the faceless bureaucracy that is making the world a worse place is being uncovered, and all most people in the UK can say is “orange man bad”.

    You do have to laugh

You have to laugh at people who repost weird X comments on things they have clearly not read:

    FYI
This may not be the twaXter but Jenna Ryan is a Texas woman who pleaded guilty to a misdemeanour charge after storming the Capitol on Jan. 6 and said she has been called an “insurrection Barbie.
You do have to laugh at this.
"She made headlines in March after tweeting that she was “definitely not going to jail” because of her blonde hair, white skin, “great job” and “great future.”
"Definitely not going to jail. Sorry I have blonde, hair white skin, a great job, a great future, and I’m not going to jail. Sorry to rain on your hater parade. I did nothing wrong" But pleaded guilty after livestreaming herself entering the Capitol a year ago, then openly telling reporters she had taken part in the riot.

    Or how about.
Barbie - someone who seems to be perfect on the outside, with typically good looking but not the best, who really has nothing to add to the world.

Which makes a point in saying.
"Marco Rubio, the secretary of state, confirmed to reporters during a visit to El Salvador that he is now the acting administrator of USAID; CBS reported that the agency will continue to do humanitarian work, but will be folded into the State Department with a much-trimmed staff; critics said not so fast, since any reorganization would require congressional involvement."
I wonder how many more of VP Trump's proclamations will come under government scrutiny and be deemed illegal?
US democracy is under threat, the DOGE is an unelected body. https://www.wired.com/story/elon-musk-government-young-engineers/
"Elon Musk’s takeover of federal government infrastructure is ongoing, and at the centre of things is a coterie of engineers who are barely out of—and in at least one case, purportedly still in—college. Most have connections to Musk, and at least two have connections to Musk’s longtime associate Peter Thiel, a cofounder and chair of the analytics firm and government contractor Palantir who has long expressed opposition to democracy."

"WIRED has identified six young men—all apparently between the ages of 19 and 24, according to public databases, their online presences, and other records—who have little to no government experience and are now playing critical roles in Musk’s so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) project, tasked by executive order with “modernizing Federal technology and software to maximize governmental efficiency and productivity.” The engineers all hold nebulous job titles within DOGE, and at least one appears to be working as a volunteer."

It makes me extremely happy that everything is coming to light.

Knowing I was correct the whole time, and the Democrats were being funded by siphoning and laundering huge swathes of public money to their sinister causes has a calming effect on me.

Watching all these corrupt politicians scared for their lives, wanting to stop Elon looking into what they’re doing is bringing great joy to me right now.

You guys, still trying to pretend none of this is real, is now just funny to me.

Yep. It’s amazing. Finally a politician is doing exactly what he said he would do. Trump is an amazing president.

It’s exactly what the people voted for.

Audit everything. Cut costs. Bring back a functioning government.

We need the EXACT same here.

    it’s funny.

They’re literally the exact opposite of fascists.

They’re going through the treasury shining a spotlight on corrupt government spending.
They want to downsize the government and reduce its power.

It’s quite ironic really - the ones screaming “fascism” are the literal fascists - those that have been draining the taxpayers and spending it on propaganda and censorship.

it’s almost like you have no idea what fascism actually is

As usual, you have been proven wrong, so resort to being childish.
