Why oh no? If we could recoup a bit of money on Trippier that’d be amazing! Krafth is back on the bench already so we have cover for Tino and just adds a little more to the kitty next year.
The transfer window ending was something I was looking forward to. In 48hrs the toons in a semi final.
See Villa have gone big with the Duran money. It seems like a banker that the Rashford signing doesn't go well though.
Unsure about that. Rashford is very capable but looked to me like a player who has had too many coaches and changes at his club. Getting to a stable club under the tutilage of Emery gives him a good chance of recapturing good form I'd say. Despite everything happening at the club, and him often playing on the wing, he's been a 1 in 3 striker for the past 6 years at Man Utd (70 league goals in 210 games). That's not shoddy at a misfiring club.
Don’t think many question his ability, it’s more his attitude and commitment. Not a good start if he has said he’ll only be there a few months.
Has he said that? Surely the goal should be to impress and get a permanent move. Wages big problem though I expect. I think he's ok 350k or something. Maybe he's trying to wait it out until Amorim gets the boot.
I've read he has said it but not quotes. That's why I said 'if'. Your last point is a possibility given Man Utd's form.
I think the manu bridge is burned down for Rashford. The fans are sick of his attitude and from all accounts he doesn’t want to go back. He simply has to deliver at Villa or his career is knackered. Look at Sterling at Arsenal. Similarish position as he is hated at Chelsea.
Villa have a £40m option to buy, which seems very good value, especially as they just got £70m for Duran. Seems weird for Man U not to have the option to bring him back, especially as the main reason for him leaving seems to be a fall out with Amorim, and Amorim sure as hell ain't gonna be there for much longer barring a miracle turnaround.
There was a comment about Rashford going to Villa and waiting it out for Amorim to go. Didn’t he fall out with Ten Haag as well?! He’s just not into football, the lad has done a lot for community, leave him be!!
Rashford has been a problem under many managers and the fact that Amorim has said publicly that his work ethic is **** says a lot. He could turn it around mind as he is a good player but it’s got Sterling/Lingard/Alli all Over it because these players think they are bigger than the clubs. I might be wrong mind.
Ten Hag and Solskjaer no, Rangnick maybe, but I don't think anyone got on with him. Amorim is the first one to actually ostracise him.
Man U can't afford to pay off another manager, especially this season. They ****ed up massively by insisting he came in when he did and not in the upcomming summer when he wanted to.
As John Wayne once famously said in a movie "some people are born bastards but you, your'e a self made man"
