He's one of many players who excel at Championship level but can't produce the goods enough at PL level. Just shows the chasm between the two divisions.
Good move for Arma, plus it keeps Saints options open. He either gets his confidence back and comes back here for another coach and plays, or his performances between now and May make sure he has a strong market for a sale in the summer window. And a cracking deadline day get for the Baggies
He just joins a long list of strikers who were excellent in the championship but never any further. Thinking of the likes of Ross McCormack, Jordan Rhodes etc
Those two and Kamaldeen. Juric wants to play with one up front, so three for one spot should be fine. Besides, if there's 10-30 mins available here and there, I'd much rather give them to Archer than Arma. Arma is what he is, he's had about 100 PL games and he struggles for more than a couple of goals each time. Shame because he seems a great guy
But he has accepted it! That's the point I/We are trying endlessly to make. Shuffling some seats in the board room has changed **** all in terms of where we are now, and where we'll be come August. At the moment we're trying to get in a DOF. Just like we were trying to get in a striker since forever. And let's be honest we're not going to see new found success on the pitch even if we do get that bloke in. Success is not coming from changing Rasmus/Krafts job title, nor adding more back room staff.
That was never going to happen. We saw it first time around & I was amazed people thought his confidence from last year would see an improvement at this level. Was never going to happen. He just doesn’t have it.
Eh? He’s going to be running all the football operations. So of course that’s going to impact things. The two people previously running the football operations, badly, aren’t doing so any more. We’ve got the DoF, we just haven’t got the work permit, which despite some people’s strange thinking, isn’t going to be the fault of the club.
Mega Joe Aribo, the Dibbler and the new Dane also have a goal or two in them. Others may also chip in now we're playing megadeath ball.
He's done a lot more than just shuffle a few people around. Rasmus has gone to Turkey on a full time basis so he's fully focused on Goztepe. Kraft will no longer be involved in any football related decisions regarding Saints. We have done more than try to get a DOF onboard, we have got an agreement in place, but we can't do much about the Brexit related red tape.
Not complaining about the delay, that's absolutely not SRs fault, but just don't see how it's going to make any tangible difference to this **** show. I fear a massive repeat of last summers transfer window where we have absolutely no clue who's in and who's out until September time.
A lot of you just have low standards. I remember in the summer people rating the window 9/10 etc… laughable. Most other clubs the fans would have kicked off ages ago. Instead we just get tepid applause as they wreck our club. Like i said, even if this new DoF is any good, he’ll be gone in 6 months like everyone else these charlatans recruit. They are toxic and awful for the club. Everyone that knows their stuff can’t get out the door quick enough. Until they go, we are going to continue to decline
But how on one hand can you say “not replacing Wilcox was a terrible decision”, then when we replace Wilcox say “that’s not going to make any tangible difference”?
Agree with you LTL & Lincs is probably over egging it but Solak & his new DoF have a lot to repair. I truly hope he gets this right but his track record isn’t great & there’s a lot of work to do. We all assume he’s funding this venture (I note a lot keep saying we’re financially sound), I trust it’s not us being leveraged & hopefully it continues but he could lose patience very quickly? I assume the new DoF must be worthwhile as they would have known there would be a permit issue (?) & seems to be dragging on a bit? All in all, lots of questions, lots of fingers x’d in my humble opinion, added to a poor track. Let’s see.
