Quite a lot of them do want their board (and lesser extent) owner gone funnily enough. Think they're doing a protest at their next home game.
I don't think anyone is saying SR should sell up just because we haven't used a loan space, don't be daft; its a culmination of reasons over a number of years that people want them gone ...
Read Foxestalk. The conversation on there about their ownership pretty much mirrors conversation on here. Bizarrely they have even less posters going in to bat for the board than we do and we don't have a ****ing fraction of their success!
Exactly. Sport Republic's ownership of the club has had three phases. During the first phase we were in the Premier League and the football side of things was a mess. During the second phase we were in the Championship and the football side of things was okay. Could have been better but it was okay. During the third phase we're in the Premier League and the football side of things is again a mess. I don't think it's a coincidence that during that second phase where things were okay we had Jason Wilcox running the football side of things. I also don't think Wilcox is necessarily THAT good as a Director of Football/Technical Director/Sporting Director (he certainly hasn't turned Man Utd around) and on reflection I don't think his ideas were that well suited to where we were as a club. All of this means I'm 95% sure appointing Spors - or someone else if it comes to that - will improve things.
That’s because saints fans are now conditioned to failure. Most Saints fans are happy to accept worse than mediocrity these days. As long as the owners pretend to be doing something. Our owners are completely embarrassing us
Yeah but their owners have totally ****ed up there - no wage structure, buying washed up players. They got off a points deduction for breaching PSR rules last year on a technicality - it was ruled the PL couldn't take action as they weren't a PL club at the time and the EFL weren't allowed to deduct points either.
The list is absolutely endless. But we got a pub in the ground that barely anyone will use. Who cares about our Premier league status? We can now have an overpriced pint in an industrial estate by the docks. Much more important #spoilingus
I can just imagine the posts a year down the line if we'd gone out and spent £20m on a striker from the Estonian second division to suit Juric's style who performed terribly before Juric leaving in the summer and us being stuck with said useless striker for four years who never plays.
Leicester's owners have risked the club's future with their actions, ours haven't. Both of us are going to get relegated but I'd much rather be in our situation than theirs. They won't be able to buy anyone in the summer, certainly without selling a load of players first.
Must be awful to be Premier league champions and to win the FA Cup. Then to go down, win the league and still be in with a fighting chance of staying up. Their owners sound like total ****s. They've definitely got more right to be upset than our spoilt fans!
For the record I think there's a hell of a lot that SR can be fairly criticised for in terms of its running of the club. I just don't see in what world this transfer window is one of them given the situation we find ourselves in (which yes is down to previous board decisions which crucially Solak has taken steps to fix).
No bandwagon jumping for me mate. I've thought this mob were a bunch of twats way before 11pm last night.
Yep, indeed. Fair play to Dragan for that. Seriously. But now they need to prove it. Back up their words with actions on the pitch. We've heard it all before; new men, new direction, give us a chance etc ... they blew it last time, made us even worse, so I'm very hesitant/apprehensive as to whether they'll get it right this time. Ankersen & Kraft are still involved in SR, so indirectly they are still involved with us. Until they've proven they can get it right with their actions on the pitch, I might change my stance. I gave them a 2nd chance last time we went down & we heard it all; Wilcox will come in, we'll have a new structure blah blah blah, and yeah, they blew it so yeah, I'm wary they'll get it right. We'll see, but right now, I'm not a fan at all.
Exactly…nobody is forgiving the past mistakes, but to carry on at them now, and for this window is mental.
They’ve done **** all. This new director of football isn’t even appointed. All they’ve done so far is turn a premier league club into a championship one.
