I'm a Liverpool fan and cannot deny this. The only keeper I've seen in a one on one situation where it's about 80-20 in favour of the keeper. Nuff said
well done Sir B C and Heisenberg on your winners. At the old Baseball Ground we used to sing " Les Green " is better than Yashin and he was only 5 foot 2. he was in Cloughies first Derby team tho' so couldn't have been too bad. Who was the "flying pig" for Liverpool in that era?
I was at Wembley when he did his scorpion kick. He always looked like he was totally out of it on drugs. If he was a racehorse he would have been trained by .....................
I see they've already announced that Frankel's first start next year will be the Lockinge. He'll probably be running it on his own - and the course will probably still sell out by St Stephen's Day
Dexter: Shouldn't hang the guy for one bad game as he was a damn good goalie, but do you remember that World Cup game when Spain went out in a penalty shootout? Zubi let in all of them, if he had just stayed still he would have saved them all. For each attempt, he did the weirdest twisting half-dive I've ever seen as the ball flew over the top of him. He lost a lot of brownie points with me after that game!
Swanny you're spot on though - Ollie Kahn was a giant between the posts and I really like his style on the TV - very articulate chap and very passionate without being boorish
