Where has this idea amongst Scousers that Dalglish doesn't like to complain about stuff come from?
    He absolutely loves it!
He's playing the media game and trying to influence officials.

Good picture which illustrates the ref's view of the Spearing tackle:

I wonder if they'll be charged for surrounding the ref and berating him?

I really don't know what all the fuss is about. As PNP said, he clearly follows through with the tackle, his feet are high, under the current rules, he's got to go. Red card, no doubt, for me.

Suarez could be in the ****, too.
He made a delightful gesture to the home fans, after the final whistle had gone.

Apparently he was upset about them calling him a cheat.
    Perhaps he shouldn't cheat, then?

If they're not careful their season is going to be a write off by January.

Someone said on the BBC text last night that they were similar to us last year in that they're playing quite well but simply not beating teams that they should be. I think it's a valid comparison and you can add in useless strikers and the injuries stacking up for them too.

I think that we had the Champions League as an excuse though, SF.
Our players were burning out, whereas they just don't appear to have suitable cover in a number of positions.

Suarez really is a grade-A fool. By doing that he's pretty much guaranteed that all opposition fans will chant "cheat" at him from now on.

  10. And yet another disgraceful and dirty display from them. They are rapidly turning into a very bad version of Wimbledon (as they were in the Vinnie Jones' days).

On top of all the thuggery, it looks as though they'll be losing Suarez for making provocative hand gestures at the crowd.

Perhaps now, the Mickey Mousers and the Mickey Mouse loving media will finally get it into their thick heads that 'Pool is a spent force, lacking in skill, ideas or entertainment, and little better than a collection of thugs, led by an OAP.

That photo says it all. Utterly disgraceful.

And the fact that you have that aging fool, Queen Kenny, on TV spouting his usual ordure that the ref should be made to come out and explain his decisions, implying that the ref made a wrong decision to send off the player, is completely reprehensible. I hope the FA charge the idiot with bringing the game into disrepute.

Dalglish's statement will be thoroughly undermined when they don't appeal the decision.

The man has clearly learnt nothing since he's been in the EPL almost every teams fans now think of him as a " diver ",which he clearly is and now he can't handle the abuse he gets.I'm actually glad we didn't buy him.

How many weeks/months will it take the FA to investigate it do we reckon? Its not as if there are any photos/tv cameras they can call upon to make it easy. They'll probably have to interview the entire home fan contingent and make sure all their stories are non-contradictory.

What is the likely punishment WHEN he is found guilty?

  15. A three-match ban would be an ideal start.

Do we think that we can count Liverpool out of the race for top 4 now?

I've said it before and I'll say it again: A club whose fans buy into the increasingly paranoid conspiracy theories cooked up by their personality cult of a manager when a result doesn't go their way, which happens often enough - the Premier League doesn't need Celtic, as Liverpool are doing a damn fine impersination of them these days...

Now I'm sure you'll appreciate this little bit of pedantry more than anyone, Ensil. Your second syllogism doesn't work. It's the equivalent of saying:

    I am a man, Benoit Assou-Ekotto is a man, therefore I am Benoit Assou-Ekotto.

And, unfortunately, that's not the case.

Anyway - I hate Suarez, as every right-thinking person does. And am actually very glad he didn't come to Spurs. Watched the second half of last night's game and his diving is a disgrace. Cheating, nasty little ****.

I'm so relieved that everything is going as it should up at 'pool. King Kenny and all that crap was obviously blind, idiotic sentimentalism and was never going to work - I was very disappointed when it started well. In hindsight maybe it's a good job it did. It'll now take at least a couple of seasons of failure til they get rid of King Kenny, won't it? Great stuff.

The thing that annoys me about Suarez is that he's actually a very good player.
He doesn't need to do all of the stupid crap that he does.
He appears to be trying to replace El Hadji Diouf, though.

Can we write Liverpool off for the top 4?
    No.
They're only 5 points behind Chelsea.
Do I think that they will finish in the top 4?
    No.
