The article reads that we would only accept if we get Adingra. If Tommy is travelling down now, then…
From what I've seen,I don't think Tommy is PL ready, and he'll spend 95% of his time at Brighton, certainly this season and probably most of next,on the bench,or being loaned out to a Championship club. I like the lad,he has lots of talent, but,if he goes,I think it's a mistake at this stage in his career.
Trying not to get too excited As good as Watson is going to be, selling him for £15m after 12 ****ing appearances and using that as leverage to get a 23 year old with 46 premier league games and 8 premier league goals is ****ing insanity. Speakman needs to be locked up. This isn't fair.
One thing I will say on Watson, if he ends up staying I hope the fans remain on his side, and I'm sure they will. I hope the narrative doesn't become "he wanted away so **** him". I still think best case scenario is he stays and signs a 5 year deal. But if he goes Adingra, or Clarke, would be nice.
Still hoping that Watson stays, though - even if Adingra is a possibility. My default is that we don't get promoted, so all of these loan-to-buys are just short term loans in my head.
Agreed. but the good thing is, despite all the rumours of these offers, the only "loan to buys" we'll have would be Le Fee and Adingra. Both of whom are undoubtedly already PL quality. So minimises any "risk" of being lumbered with poor players upon promotion, should it happen
I'd be shocked if Watson goes to Brighton and we get Adingra, we are definitely testing their resolve.
It pains me to say it but reading between the lines of us wanting Adingra to replace Watson, and Keith saying it all seeems unlikely, it seems Clarke is definitely unlikely now. I've gone from 25% thinking it will happen to 10%.
Love that we are saying we want Adingra on loan in return, not Watson until the end of the year. Speaks volumes.
