Your minds should be blown by this. He is 3 years in the past telling you something about today that you didn't realise at the time was going to come to pass.
Morning lads. Any info on Danns? What we getting? Feeling is it’s a bit of a coup for us, looks tasty on the reels and obviously been trusted CL. What we getting here?
Shown glimpses when played but his one actual start against psv was bit above his level - albeit was also a nothing game and much changed teams. Has a bit of physicality and would say has a habit of being right place right time in the box. goals he has scored for us (albeit limited) have been composed finishes. High hopes for him, but big step up to be first team player compared to coming on in cup games for final 15-20’mins.
He’s likely be used for last 25 each game, when Wilson tires, so that’s not overly worrying. We create a lot of chances so he will get plenty. What’s his hold up play like?
I think he's not ready. He was very disappointing v psv and get bullied showed no real pace and slot has probably made a call that he won't be using him so he might as well get a loan. He's barely 19 now so needs games not 15 and 20mins if we are lucky. He's scored some class goals so knows where the net is as as .said as a bit of physicality.
All kicking off on the deadline day. Levy being levy but actually offering mad money and still getting kicked back. Man utd desperately trying to find something City trying to by a midfielder but an attacking one. Which is stupid again. Lots of moves
Danns to Sunderland imo is a mistake. We will see. They are too far up the table to take risks now giving time to a kid so imo lfc have once again fallen for a managers punt at emergency cover. Gordon to Portsmouth however seems decent if he can get going. He need something so will be happy to use him.if he shows up.
Not sure of the logic of this. Danns is a good finisher, but we saw against PSV that he does still have a lot to learn about overall link-up play. Nonetheless, we have five recognised strikers and are fighting on four fronts - if we progress to the next round of the FA Cup he could be useful, and there's always going to be at least one last-second hero match still left in this season, for sure.
Think long term makes sense for a loan. Even if it’s 30 mins end of game at Sunderland and the odd start it’s far better for him to be training and up against first team players than player in under 21s. Prob too good for that level now. And he just won’t get enough time with us this year with Diaz Jota and Nunez all playing CF
Can't say I like him being pressurised in that way. He's not a politician or an official or anything - he's just a footballer and he doesn't have to explain himself to journalists.
agreed. Most journalists don’t have an ounce of integrity so the irony of them challenging someone else’s boils my piss
Rejected a perm move but happy to go there on loan when no other option. Makes sense, gets game time at least and hope for a better team To come in the summer n
Boro were interested in Morton apparently - fee could have gone above £10m with add ons but lfc rejected as not close to valuation. Feel for Morton. Pretty much missed out on a year of football after a decent loan last year. Not sure we’ll get much value in summer as won’t increase in next few months.
