Welcome to the board mate, by the look of that post I reckon we may have been separated at birth A man after my own heart ... Ha'way the Lads!!!
I've watched from afar this transfer window, and in my opinion getting Clarke back would be a massive mistake. Yes he was good, but it made us one dimensional, and teams soon sussed out get him out the game and we were average. I like the lad, and wish him all the best, but I don't believe he'll move us forward. I certainly don't want an obligation to buy if promoted. He has proved he is not good enough for the Premier League. First concerns were the Newcastle match last year where they made him look average, then he goes to Ipswich full of confidence, and still can't raise his level required for the Premier League. Now people want us to re sign him, now his confidence is shot. He wanted out by refusing a new contract, so we had to sell him cheap. Let him go, he's not good enough for what we need in the future
Been watching from afar for years! Just going to say I never have nor will I ever hear any intel, whats the opposite to ITK?
I haven’t seen anyone reply to your question with the answer. RTG is another forum and it’s called Ready To Go.
I think he’s just trying to make the point that the club have a valuation for Watson, as they likely do every player, and that hasn’t been met so until it does he’s going nowhere. I Didn’t read as a dig at the club
I think on Clarke this is a fair assessment but I think we were only one dimensional because of our tactics, rather than Clarke himself. I think under Le Bris it would be very different, and indeed it was at the start of this season
Worth noting he’s replied saying we’re trying to get a LW in so wonder if that’s what several people are alluding to one of the deals agreed for tomorrow
I think the injury to Wes Burns probably rules Clarke out. I think there was discussions between the clubs tbh but not sure how far they got
I didn't say that was a dig at the club, really don't know where you got that from. My point is that if he knows Sunderland have a valuation for Watson, and Brighton haven't met it, he must know what it is. Sorry but I really don't see the harm in asking. Just like saying Man Utd have put in a massive bid ... aren't I allowed to ask what it is? These aren't difficult questions.
