    I like Piroe.

The only gripe would be that it is clear when he is on his off days yet Farke doesn't replace him with Joseph a bit quicker. Happy to concede that hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Short Term this squad is good enough to go up without additions. Long term ie going up a League a few will have to move on Piroe being one of them.

Piroe being one of them!... who'd have thought ao would be as good as he has been from bundeslega 2?
Is he deemed surplus to requirement should we go up ?
Does farke need to go if we do or deserve his chance again?
does James need to go as he's been in the prem before with mixed results?
Who'd be able to make the step up without to much concern, who knows.... it's a **** business

Definitely good enough for Premier League

    Rodon
    Ampadu
    Solomon

Maybe good enough to make the step up

    Bogle
    Tanaka
    James
    Ramazani
    Gnonto

Squad fillers for the bench but not starters

    Struijk
    Piroe
    Joseph
    Aaronson
    Gruev

We'd have to get rid of everybody else!

If we fail to go up this season then wave goodbye to most of the top two sections in the above list and we become West Brom.

That’s the trouble with going up, unless recruitment is spot on we’re in for a season like Southampton or Ipswich. The last two seasons have been mostly very enjoyable. I’m beginning to think that the premier league is a bit like that beautiful girl you’ve been chasing. It’s all so exciting going for her only to find out once you’ve got her, she turns out to be a gold digging bitch <cheers>

Largely agree… I’d demote Rodon a group and raise struijk one (his mobility is a concern and his confidence was shot last time he was there … whether he’ll revert to type or whether his confidence has improved with maturity? Suck it and see for me.

I'm on a similar thought process. Rodon will be fine if we bought an established Premier league centre half to play with him. If he's paired with the mentally and physically fragile Struijk then both are in trouble. Struijk is too slow.

Rodon and Ampadu at centre half would be okay in the Premier League to be fair. They complement each other well.

Generally agree, however I personally wouldn’t have Rodon anywhere near a PL starting 11. Happy if he were to prove me wrong. I think Bogle is a bench option. Funnily enough, though I don’t especially rate Aaronson, his pressing would likely get him quite a bit of PL game time, assuming we didn’t change the way we play.

Surprised no-ones mentioned Firpo. 3 assists yesterday. A few places had him as MoM and/or 10/10 for that performance.:bandit:

Yep, junior was great yesterday. He’s always been very good with the ball, it’s the art of defending he’s never quite come to grips with.

I wonder what we could safely spend if promoted. I assume we have to give Harrison and Kristensen the wages they were on last time around so the sooner we can move both on the better.

Wober isn’t rated by Farke so another to shift on. Ipswich fans rate Greaves a CB who they signed from Hull, I think we’d have to spend wisely and we need a few more Tanaka finds

Just looking at the 71/72 season, the last time we won 7-0, our next opponents were Coventry, a 1-0 win. A Jack Charlton goal. Weirdly too, the Southampton game was our 30th league game of the season, just like yesterday.
The previous game we beat Cardiff 2-0 in the cup.

Would be nice if we go on to win the FA Cup final, like we did that season.
