Sorry, channelling my inner Ginge here and making somewhat of a troll thread, I guess.
But I am genuinely interested in which of the two mud brothers, Spurs or United has it worse, and which is more likely to pull themselves out of this **** first.....

Being a Chelsea fan, my club has been in a similar situation in recent history and so I know what it is like to be in ****, down in the bottom half of the table.
Which of these clubs looks likely to turn things around? I will grade the clubs on separate points on who has the advantage.

Squad - Tottenham win for me
Of the two squads, Spurs is slightly better, and I daresay their injuries are a main reason behind their terrible position in the league. 14 squad injuries, of which 7 or 8 would arguably be starters on a matchday if everyone was fit, is a catastrophe that would affect even the biggest and best of squads.
United, even with a fraction of the injuries, dont have a better squad in my opinion, they have a lot of players on big contracts for big money that need replacing, lots of dead wood that needs moving on and it is going to be difficult to shift that many players on such big wages.
Say you what you want about Levy's miserly nature, it means that unwanted players can be moved on easier.

Manager - United win for me
Whilst new, Amorim has a terrible record so far, but he has a far worse squad for me than Spurs to deal with that dont match his style at all.
Ange......dear me....this guy.....were it not for a decent 10 game run at the beginning of last season, would be being flung out of the Tottenham stadium Jazzy Jeff style. Yes he has a lot of injuries to contend with, which means even more so that you should change your tactics accordingly to make up for a loss of personnel. I cant remember a more stubborn manager. While Amorim has only had a dozen games to try get to grips with what he has to play with, Ange has had a season and a half, and he seems to be one dimensional in his approach.

Financials - Surprisingly I gotta go with Tottenham here
Whilst Man Utd are a power house in world football, undeniably, I fear reckless spending on big waged, under talented players (Something, as a Chelsea fan, I am also familiar with in recent seasons), seems to be the downfall of United here. Spurs, by all accounts, have a shed load of money, that is available to spend to rebuild their squad, should Levy loosen the purse strings, where as United, whilst by no means poor, have a lot of financial restrictions at the moment because of PSR and their inflated wage bill.

Board - I cant call this one....
United fans were excited of a change in approach when INEOS became invested in the club, and it is still early days, so there is every chance that they could decide to take a more sensible approach to spending and the way the club is run, but it remains to be seen.
ENIC on the other hand, have been at Spurs for a good long while. And while they seem to have nailed the business side of the football world, with a new stadium and a sensible wage structure, Spurs fans have yet to see this success translate on to the football pitch. Their board are getting somewhat of a reputation for holding back and not giving their managers full backing, or going that extra mile to push Tottenham over the edge to success, they have come close on a couple of occasions, but then have always failed to give it that final extra push.....whether they will decide to do this, finally, remains to be seen.

What do you think? Which of these two clubs is going to dig themselves out of the mud first?

Ultimately, I have to go with Spurs...purely because for United, its been a slow descent to this point that has been a long time coming, where as with Spurs, this seems to have sprung on them for a couple of reasons, those being a ridiculous injury list, a miserly chairman and a stubborn manager. Two of those three can be rectified fairly quickly ie, by next season. Where as for United, even with INEOS involved, I think the mess they have made of that squad is going to take more than a summer to fix.
