Just seen their 2nd goal & my god what the **** was Fox doing ball watching & letting the bloke get to it first
Don’t remember Nardi actually making a save. No idea what he was doing for the first goal as the last of several pub team elements to the whole thing. People around me were having a go at him for the second but for me it’s on the defence and particularly Fox.
We wouldn’t have had to suffer the Ashby cameo at least but not really. Goals came down the other side.
In Cifuentes/Calm’s defence, Cook looked well off it and perhaps only had an hour in him. Still think I’d have gone for Morrison instead but he wasn’t blessed with options. Spurs kid looked lively. Saito good again and surely starts Tuesday.
I think people in general are being very harsh on Ahsby. He has made mistakes but he has also played well in many games. And has played out of position on several occasions. Apart from that he is only 18 and still learning his trade in a difficult league.
BTW, rumour had it that Marti & Jimmy were seen having afternoon tea in the Ritz and some papers were being signed!!
He looks the classic case of the guy who opted for the comfy existence of u23 football with a big club rather than getting real, meaningful men’s games. I think there’s some degree of ability there but he’s moronic with the ball at times and easy to get at without it. No nous basically. See also EDB (presumed dead).
Kiwi has had a slight groin problem for 30 years. I am taking the claim Dunne was injured with a pinch of salt. Feels awfully convenient.
I'm hoping Saito starts instead of chair on Tuesday. The latter hasn't been producing much of late. Would give the young Korean a start instead of Smyth aswell. If Smyth didn't have pace, he wouldn't be a footballer.
Wasn't able to watch the game yesterday, just seen them ... the defence was a complete bloody shambles for both of them. The left side needs patching up a bit.
