I don’t feel like we are progressing as a club at the moment.

The current transfer window is basically a mess.

Howe needs to explain why we can’t win these winnable home games.

West Ham. Bournemouth and now Fulham.

There was no intensity at all today.

    Gotta be everyone else struggling.

If we lost that game. The season is over.

What I should've said was I am now far more nervous about Arsenal than I was when we originally won so convincingly. It's hard to understand why we go from looking like we did at times during that run, to the huff and puff of today and capitulation vs B'mth. Arsenal will clearly be looking at that match as one they can now turn around, we just seem to keep shooting ourselves in the foot.

We beat Leicester, Brentford, Ipswich, Villa, Man U, Spurs, Arsenal, Bromley, Wolves, So'ton. Lost to B'mth and now Fulham. It's mostly excellent, as I say it's just such a shame we pull these bad results out too often.

Ultimately, we didn't play well today.

Only if you set your target as top 4 without making any major signings... Let's just be realistic here despite Today we're probably where we should be.

We didn't. But we got to 4th cos we have played well.

Forest got pumped 5-0 last week, didn't mean everything was suddenly rubbish, that's why there's 38 games and one doesn't decide the entire season.

Probably. I guess we should not raise our expectations because without the European games excuse. Or the Injuries excuse. Or the FFP excuse.

What can we blame this on. Because we can’t for the love of god blame Steady Eddie.

Nothing wrong in saying it.. That second half was a collapse and it appeared they were instructed to manage the game while Howe and Tindal thought about things.. Unfortunately it didn't work, the changes came when we'd conceded and they didn't fix anything.

I don't really mind that much...we're going to have worse seasons.

So let’s just blame Donald Trump.

    You're losing it.

We lost a game, we didn't play well. It was disappointing, but in the grand scheme of things, it's just a game we need to move on from. We don't need the blame inquest.

This is what I'm getting at! You've already set the bar perhaps higher than it should realistically be and that's why you keep having these reactions.

Newcastle don't have a top 4 squad, don't have a top 6 revenue and currently can't spend due to potential points deductions.

If you take the realistic view which is we should be 7th then you'll realise we're still doing very well.

Anyone that thinks Arsenal can't win by 2 goals in 90 minutes against any side is kidding themselves.

If they get that back they'd win fairly easily in extra time because they have a superior squad. Essentially as we tire and make changes we'll get worse and they'll hold a level or improve.

I'm not saying Newcastle aren't in a strong position because they are, but its only half time...

I suspect for some of our lot today was about making sure they can play in it.. The chance of a cup final is bound to do that in 50/50s..some are so sub standard they know it probably won't come again.

    You're absolutely right about Today.

People seem to want to have a go at you for saying it and argue other topics of debate, but it's easier to just say Today was poor.

Are they doing well this season? Absolutely.

Ah well. Another pathetic home performance and another pathetic acceptance of mediocrity.

    NUFC to the T.

Let’s all accept it. We are an average team.
