The fact we look a far, far more competent team points towards that. We’re improving. We’ll get some wins.
I can’t argue we’re improving in some aspects in some periods of play but we are way off being able to hold a lead for game. The one time we did do it we barely did it. To say we look a more competent team is wild to me because we’ve not looked competent all season, we’ve been battered most it.

Whenever we concede, we’re done. Everyone and their mum knew we were gonna fold the second it became 1-1 because these players have the backbone of a wet paper bag.

How is it wild? To quote you about five minutes ago on the match thread:

“One thing I really hope (and I know I’m being incredibly naive based on the evidence) is that we will actually turn up in games where we can get points because we will easily give some teams in the lower half a good game with a performance like that.”

We just don’t have the goals in the side.

Pleased to see Sulemana actually look like a footballer, and credit to juric for that. But we just don’t score enough to compensate for our leaky defence. I think the record is going, unless we get really lucky and catch some teams on the beach at the end of the season

And I specifically pointed out how my comment ignores direct evidence to the contrary.

I hope for us to improve performances and show up against lower sides, same as I hoped to come home to Margot Robbie tonight, however all the current evidence points to that being a very long shot.

We need to beat Ipswich I feel and if so I think we'll manage it relatively comfortably.

Can't see anything from the next two so if we lose to Ipswich we'll be needing 6 from 14 having got 6 from 24 so far. Seems a massive ask.

In terms of games after that the obvious ones are the dead rubbers where teams will likely be on the beach, West Ham and Fulham, and then the away games at Leicester and Everton. Not ideal that 3 of those are away though.

If we do, we do. We don't, we don't. I really don't care because the end result is the same whatever.

But if we break the record, we shouldn't absolutely f*cking own it. Extra, extra loud and proud renditions of...

"We're by far the greatest team, the world has ever seen!"

Beating Everton on the last day to beat Derbys record, make them lose the last ever game at Goodison and send them down would make this the best season in Saints history

Penultimate day but yeah outside of some sort of FA Cup miracle sending Everton down in their last game at Goodison though and simultaneously taking ourselves to 12 points is the one remaining hope.

Was Margot waiting for you tonight? Or Robbie? :emoticon-0136-giggl:eek:

Currently on 0.26 points a game which works out at less than 10 across the season.

As I've said for a while I really think Ipswich is must win for us with regards to this.

Lots of similarities. Albeit we've done **** all to try and sort it this transfer window.
If we lose today we are not getting 2 wins before the end of the season. It’s immensely depressing that we’re not even trying to get a striker in, even if just on loan to the end of the season.

We are sleep walking to the worst team in premier league history. I also absolutely refuse to believe that Juric signed this season believing he would get absolutely **** all in the window other than a midfielder and a really young CB. I imagine the plan was to offload a bunch and get a few key areas in, well they failed at that. They also seemed to take ****ing ages to have any discussion around transfers. Clueless ****s.

It speaks volumes that in his 2 month assessment of the club that he’s determined the best striker is no striker at all and the club have done nothing to help him. This is a lower point in the clubs history to me than league 1. I know that sounds dumb but I just do not see any light at the end of the tunnel right now. Just more **** low quality signings in the summer and turmoil.

Not dumb. I agree wholeheartedly

Me too. It’s ****ing awful.

At least when we went down to league one, we were a proper shambles with no money and there was a sort of underdog spirit to keep me caring.

Now.. we are just run by absolute ****ing helmets who are too stupid and too selfish to care about the club or the fans.

Just moronic decision after moronic decision.

If we sold every player right now, I honestly wouldn’t be fussed. It’s soul destroying supporting this team atm

We had players like kelvin Davis at the club, positive influence in the dressing room and all that. (#bringbacktheo)
