now that the 'angel of death' (Peter Ridsdale) is back in business again, would it be worth having a cheeky punt for the young lad Adam (summat or other), midfielder from PNE. I dont know how long his contract is but he is a class player and Preston might be looking for cash on the hip before Ridsdale takes them into administration!
its funny that since Turner signed for Sunderland 2+ years ago he has missed more games for them than he ever did for Hull City. I would suggest that Turner will see out his contract up there (ends 2013) and will leave for FREE. Unless of course MON wants to trade him back down south for say a striker ? What price Sunderland going down ? they look poor and dont score goals. If Blackburn win up there sunday(live on sky) then the pressure is really on. Oh how i would love it, just love it IF the Mackems came down. Lol.
so you know this for a fact then eh ? i would accept that there are 3 worse teams than them But never say never.
i agree, they wont. Sunderland has plastic finances. They cannot afford to drop. Ellis Short will spend enough money in jan to stay up.
well going cheap in the january sales are the likes of Anelka - Alex and the papers have linked Fulhams Andy Johnson to MON. Maybe a bid for Charlton Cole could be on the cards. But the pressure is on and who knows what state and league position Sunderland will have come Jan 3rd.?
it should but MON has some tricky fixtures coming up before he can do anything to the squad. by that time who knows what damage will be done and how far off safety they will be. there home game on sunday with Blackburn is massive and IF they were to lose it (i hope they do by the way) they will drop into the bottom 3. Sunderlands problem is that they cannot score goals and in the PL that spells doom. Now who will want to go there in Jan for a relegation scrap ? but for sure it gonna be entertaining.
there appears to be a massive devide within that club. suggestions that Wes Brown and John O'Shea only went there for the cash. I think that this job will be MON biggest challenge yet and could also be MON waterloo.
Any teams of about 10 could go down, however some of those are more likely to stay up then others. Stoke, Fulham, West Brom and Sunderland should pull clear of trouble. I also feel that this season could be a season were all 3 promoted teams could stay up, they're no poorer than any other teams in the bottom half of the premier league and are playing better than Wigan and Blackburn who look destined to go down imo. Bolton are in real trouble down there amd Wolves will be hovering in and around the drop zone. Despite their current problems MON is a manager who can get Blunderland sorted.
"....who will want to go there in Jan for a relegation scrap...." I d suggest that any old mercinary who wants to fill his boots will go there. So that makes 3/4 of the footballers in the Murdoch League and beyond a fair target!
