disappointing start from england batting first in the first t20. currently 98/6 off 14.3 overs. buttler is 62no. the only other one to get into double figures was brook, but he went for 17.
the 9th pair put on 20, the second highest after the buttler/brook 48. archer was 3rd into double figures, falling on 12. final score 132 all out.
4th T20, Eng need to win to stay alive in the series, currently struggling chasing 182. Started brightly but now 3 down for 67 off 8. Brook and Livingstone at the crease, they need to make runs.
not sure on the ethics of the sub rule being used to take a no 6 bat out and replace them with someone who bats 10 but conveniently bowls.....
we'd have lost anyway, but yeah....bit of a rum do! honestly think bazball in all formats has had it's time, there is a lot of throwing away games under his tutelage allied to a who gives a **** attitude
and there it is. england managed to bat for just over half their overs but slightly missed getting to 100.and missed by several centuries getting to the 248 target. 6 of the 10 wickets went on the first ball of an over. phil salt made 55 off 23. next highest score was 10.
OK.....India is prob THE hardest place to tour, but we really aren't even getting close atm are we? Can't even really point to injuries or alike either as we're pretty full strength!
We're just drifting between **** and mediocre and have been for a good few years now. No one seems to want to take ownership of the situation and turn us into a winning team. Whether that's administrators, coaches or players
Players don’t seem to be able to play the situation it seems to be hit or bust with nothing in between .
There's very much a can't be arsed mentality. Go out and play a few shots, if it comes off great, if not who cares. Been going on far too long and someone needs to step up and sort it out. Because we're going nowhere at present.
Nothing says we're taking the Champions Trophy seriously like playing someone at 3 (Jamie Smith) who has literally only ever batted there once in their senior career......
