Drug gangs trying to intimidate each other seems to be the case. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with immigration or 'terrorism'. The main stream media does report on it, but as it's only causing minor building damage and no one's dying or getting badly injured from them, it's not really that newsworthy to the rest of the world.

If you've held an 80-year old man hostage for almost 500 days, the very least you can do is allow his passage to freedom play out without him being surrounded by a jostling, baying mob with masked thugs wielding machine guns in his face manhandling him into a truck.

Not true at all mate. I think the way those hostages were released was awful. Really scary for them and ran a very real risk of it all going wrong. I also think Netanyahu is a massive ****ing hypocrite for what he said when he's just overseen the slaughter of nearly 50k people and raised their homes to the ground.
Netanyahu is a pillock. But these ridiculously staged and over-dramatised releases are not just cruel, they are as you say a risk not worth taking given the surrounding context. All it needs is one mistake, one stray bullet hitting a hostage and we'll be back to square one. For what? A bit of political posturing and social media theatre?

Yeah, I agree with everything that you said there. My point was though you barely showed empathy or an acknowledgment to the post which was all about an 80 year old man who has been kept away from his family for over a year and went straight on the attack about Israel. Anyway, I’m very tired. Probably not thinking clearly now. Take it easy.
I started that post off saying it wasn't great at all in response to the 80 year old hostage and the way he was released. Anyway, this feels like it's just silly bickering. We've spoken enough and privately to each other to hopefully understand that we're on the same page mate
