Palmer, like the vaat majority of the '65', was an absolute waste of money. Tbf, Junior and Ashton got a few right, Webster probably the most profitable.
That’s fair, we had a lot of throw at the wall and see if it sticks signings. A lot didn’t, but that 75 was over 3.5 years, and the profits made from the hits offset the misses
Supcon, it was ONLY 65. 'and the profits made from the hits offset the misses' Not sure you're correct but let's not bring JG2 into this.
New signings unlikely this window - Manning https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/crlk22x07nyo So much for Lansdown ambition....Pathetic
This news doesn't surprise City fans. We wouldn't need any addition if Tinnion and co hadn't screwed us over last summer.
The commitment has been made to continue with apathy and looking the other way again. As you say Wiz absolutely pathetic and to be honest a slap in the face for the supporters who expect us to be better. Whoever was responsible for our less than useless signings last summer should be gone asap. What a totally hapless way to run a football club and then expect us to believe all the hype about what we will achieve - and that is a big fat zero.
Despite our sketchy form we are still sitting in a decent place for a shot at the play-offs and what does our management do to boost those outside chances? The answer is to sell or loan out several players and replace them with nothing and that to me is nothing short of criminal, but obviously the intent is to save money rather than spend it to enhance any chance of success. My message to Lansdown is that if you want to save money then get rid of Tinnion who is responsible for losing money in a totally different way by buying utter dross that will eventually leave the club over the next year because they can't meet the necessary standard. Nearly all of the players who were supposed to be our saviours have fallen heavily from their perches and here we go again with our club not knowing their arse from their elbow.
If we can’t bring anyone else in we’d be nuts to allow Sykes to leave. We can invoke the extra year on his contract in the summer, so there’s no rush to sell.
When fit Sykes is our best snd most consistent wide player. Yu has disappointed, scared to go by a player and happier to pass back. Mehmeti is knit one purl one.
The amount of ambition that was promised after LJ went.. yet he did float us around top six more often than any of the others have managed to achieve.. frustrating ain’t it!!
That's the Bristol City way framptonfrank and I just wish it would change now. Boring unattractive football is alive and well at Ashton Gate and it will continue ad nauseum.
It’s like a type of reset football.. Does my head in if it’s played every time.. England play the same way but with of course better players.. It does get frustrating after a while
