1st round of the FA cup on a Thursday! Whatever next ? I think you're right though. A lot of 21s getting a run out in that one.
City under 21's losing 0-3 at home to Brentford with about 5 minutes to go. Quite a few of the regulars not playing which probably means they'll be involved tonight.
Got to feel for the lad. A real prospect. Hope he comes back better and stronger next season. He was limping for a while after he did it and before they took him off. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport...ws/tonights-cardiff-city-news-talent-30787689
Don't know who was actually playing in our side, but ............... https://www.charltonafc.com/news/u21-report-charlton-6-cardiff-city-1
With a couple called up to the first team and a few out on loan, it's not the side it was before Christmas. I think we've got to accept that's the way it is. It's about developing players rather than winning games.
I assume this was for the 21s. https://x.com/diffanalysis/status/1...all-news/leeds-united-v-cardiff-city-30914522
City won that 3-2 having twice been a goal down - Simic on the score sheet and Ramsey (yes Ramsey!!) set him up.
Just seen the highlights. Most impressive ps They would have done a better job than the seniors yesterday.
They play some nice stuff, and you can see that with the players coming into the 1st team. In the past, there's been a disconnect between the the 21s and the 1st team. Certainly with the likes of McCarthy, Warnock and Bulut. I think we'll see an easier transition for youngsters under Riza. It's why we keep saying the board need to sort out their thinking and managerial appointments. Recruit a manager and players to fit our style, and, I for one, think the 21s should be our style. I've said before, Riza seems to be bringing the 1st team's style closer to the 21s rather than bring the 21s closer to the 1st team. Yesterday's result needs to be put behind them. Concentrate on the previous 8. I think there is more than enough in the squad for us to stay up.
