Morning. ****e weather. Worthing v Bwood tonight in what many are calling one of the National League South fixtures taking place this evening.
Still stormy down here. Hoping to get a quickie in with the missus after the little un has gone to school. Then back in the workshop fixing a couple of bits of machinery that I use for my business.

Helped that I played in goal for most of it. Let one in in the first half particularly that I know I’d have got to back in the day or probably just with a few more games in me. Second half was still not vintage but a couple of saves and dives at the forwards’ feet that got a solid level of applause and felt a bit sharper. Had a bloke in defence who hadn’t really played football much in his life and I had to talk him through it with simple instructions like being behind the bloke he’s marking so you get a feel for what was in front of me. Wore shorts so the skin has ripped off my right shin and I’ve got a good half a dozen bruises but all good. We go again next week.

Family draaama on the in-law side. Fiances brother asks her to make him a diet plan cos he was getting a bit chubby. She puts real effort into it making him a book full of recipes and stuff, y'know cos she loves him and after 1 day goes to me "Nah im not going to do it" I tell him to remember his sister put effort into it and he should atleast try "nah I dont need to my mate told me" I say "well, pretend at least, make her feel she did something for you." "well im not a liar" Now they're pissed at one another. I just told her "its gonna be like this when you have a teenage son lol"
She has clearly fed such a dynamic in her life that he is comfortable with it tell her to have a long hard look in the mirror and let this be a lesson because you can’t allow such behaviour to translate into her parenting tell him he has a low IQ because clearly he was acting like he needed it and now he doesn’t so before he plays uncle to your kid, he needs to make sure what his brain thinks is in alignment with what his mouth says Tell them both that you can see why they are siblings and the real issue might be their parents as they are both living proof of their poor parenting. I wouldn’t let the grandparents near my kid tbh
