Not sure on the attraction of surfing or skydiving/wing suit jumping. but I have knocked myself out a few times doing silly things on skis so I guess it’s whatever stupid thing that floats your boat.
Apart from remembering knocking myself out, rediscovering a wagon wheel Jammie has been the highlight of my day
Reminds me of that woman that knocked herself out and went into a lake and I don't think anyone could work out where she had gone, but because the water was so cold and they were all medics, when they did find her, they eventually got her back to life...can't really remember it properly, would need to google it.
I am absolutely crap at skiing and snowboarding. I thought the transition from surfing to snowboarding would be relatively easy, but it really ain’t lol. Spent most of the time on my arse struggling to get up, and when you do stand up you go downhill really quickly, so I had to fall on my arse again to prevent me from hurtling into a crash barrier at 40mph lol
Learned to snowboard on plastic snow when at University, same with skiing. can see the appeal of snowboarding, but used my face as a break too many times and switched to skiing. Nothing worse than catching an edge and bi g strapped to a board
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/video/n...d-Ski-Village-A-burnt-battered-wasteland.html Was where I learned to ski, great memories of wasting afternoons here and it costing peanuts. Place is totally gone now.
Missus has booked tickets for Snow Patrol at Cardiff Castle this summer ... worried about parking ... might be chasing cars ...
