Bollocks. The one and only reason Liverpool are taking the league cup seriously this season is because of the lack of european football. Qualify for Europe next season and you'll pay the cup no heed. Regardless of whether you win it this season or not.
How is it bollocks? I made no reference to next season at all (but thanks for drawing your own tenuous conclusion from what I did say) This season we have taken it seriously, and Dalglish isn't gonna dismiss it if we lose to City. Now, what part of the above statement is 'bollocks'?
The part where you say you want to win it of course? It comes as no coincidence that you've suddenly took it seriously because you failed to do what is generally asked of you last season. If you hadn't of done so, we wouldn't be having this conversation.
**** sake pal. THIS SEASON, THIS SEASON, THIS SEASON, THIS SEASON. Stop talking about other seasons! THIS SEASON WE WANT TO WIN IT. That is a fact, and I make no reference to the reasons why. Why do you wilfully read things that I haven't written?
But at what point did I even say anything about Europe? I can't believe I have to say it a 4th time. we....want...to....win...it...this...season. That's it, plain and simple. That's ALL I'm saying, nothing more. Maybe it is because we aren't in Europe. Maybe Dalglish intends on taking it seriously every season (he wasn't here last). Neither of us know exctly why, we can only guess, as you have done. So I don't know why you're disagreeing with what I'm saying, when it's a pretty innocuous comment which can only be interpretted one way.
Here's a shocker for you... Maybe I don't give a flying fig what you said, or what you want? All I know is, is that Dalglish is desperate to bring in some silverware asap. Due to the lack of european football he see's the League cup as his most likely success this season. As soon as Liverpool fare better in terms of continental footers, he'll dismiss the league cup like all the other top managers do, and in the same vein, regard it as a worthwhile achievement when things aren't going so well, like all the other top managers do.
Well why didn't you just say this and save me the time of trying to explain the most basic of sentences to you. When you watch Eastenders, do you just decide in your head that it's Coronation Street because that's what you want it to be? (<--- that's a metaphor) Why tell me I'm bull****ting and attack what I said and then admit that you don't care what I said. Were you just arguing for the sake of it? Anyway, let's draw a line under it and agree that I win before Lucaaas gets friction burns from his knickers.
Good to see this thread still going strong haha. On a lighter note.....hahahahahahahahaha Liverpool. Good stuff.
Place your bets that Suarez will leave in the summer, he just cant handle the Premier league. but at least he will probably get a ban over xmas for his finger gesture at the Fulham fans.
Now come on Ruff, it was a very harsh decision. I mean it's not like Spearing had both feet off the ground, studs clearly showing and jumping into a standing foot. Oh wait.... please log in to view this image please log in to view this image So by the same logic SAF wasn't to blame for signing Veron, Kleberson, Djemba-Djemba and so on. I'm sure they were all probably great in training...
