Bournemouth showed today why everyone has been playing Forest wrong. Hit them fast and run at their defence and they are what everyone expected them to be.

Too many clubs have let them sit back and use their fast wingers to counter against you.

I think against Forest it’s super important to score first. Nuno even said they are best when in a compact block. If you score first against them they have to open up a bit and they are exposed then.

In both games against us, they got us on 1 break after we dominated the games. If we score first against them, we go on and win both those games easily imo.

Looks like Sharia law for football. Cheat in the transfer window and they cut your goalies hands off.

If it was really Sanchez it'd be off down the street somewhere.

Arsenal red was pathetic. Cant see how they came to a red.

but the overreaction to it you’d think it’s the first time a bad decision has ever been made.

sky have a article on it with a 5 point review as why arsenal Are being hard done by this year. Apparently because rice and Trossard were both stupid enough to kick ball away while on a yellow and no one else is, they are being targeted by refs.

Personally I've no problem with the red. A simple harmless pull-back to prevent a breakaway gets a yellow, so cynically raking studs down someone's ankle to stop them is asking for trouble. He could have caused a nasty injury. Distance from goal is irrelevant - we frequently score from a defensive corner.
The problem is, as ever, lack of consistency from refs.

The Wolves player who got sent off, his first was for kicking the ball away. So Arsenal have directly benefited from that Rule this season as well.

Fact is Arsenal have bought into the dirty little tactics, tactical fouls, deliberately slowing down restarts, taking turns getting yellow cards etc. So of course it looks they are picking up more cards, because they deserve them.
That being said I thought it should have been a yellow.

When they get a player sent off for farting, I might believe the conspiracy

Same. It's one of those orange ones ,could be a red, could be a yellow. The first contact is halfway up the shin, studs first. It's quickly slides down to make it look like it's not that high, but it was.

Villa v Wham is turning into a real bruising one. Both teams could be looking at a fair few injuries after this.

I see utd continue the pointless rotation of players again.

    Fernandes at cm. Lols.

Just pick an 11 already, stick with it and improve game by game

Quick question; the CL elimination round between 9th to 24th place - are they one leg or two legs? :emoticon-0138-think

    Edit:

"The knockout phase play-offs are new to the competition in 2024/25. While the top eight sides in the league phase qualify automatically for the round of 16, the teams finishing in ninth to 24th place kick off the knockout stages. They compete in a two-legged knockout phase play-off to secure their path to the last 16."

So City play two extra games at least. :emoticon-0100-smile

    1. Arsenal red card. I'm impressed that oliver could see the studs rake down through calf of Doherty.

I couldn't see it on 3 replays and could only see it with the slow motion from one angle. However it is actually a bad challenge.

Is it a red? You really can't tell any more. Nunez stamped on a guy, it wasn't a deliberate foul like skelly was but it was dangerous too and didn't get a yellow.

Other challenges you'd see a ref just pull a yellow there and move on. He chose red.

    2. Fifa corruption is 10x what is was under blatter. His mistake was crossing the USA with Qatar. Infantino has moved to dubai or qatar i hear and is so so corrupt he is even popular with Trump (right now)

    3. It was some headline this morning about rashford. Again amorim is going too much is press briefing. The classic answer is the player and I have talked about that in private and he is clear what I need. Amorim spent probably 2 minutes explaining how **** rashford has been in training and give a 5 second throw away line about the keeper coach and it's then a massive headline

The guy has no clue about the press it seems. Or maybe he does and he is using it to get rid?

I said earlier, I was content that it was a red. Having thought about it a bit I'm even more convinced. It doesn't matter to me whether or not it's above the ankle - it's a studs up challenge, with no attempt to get the ball, intended to prevent a counter-attack and could have caused an injury.
I'm not letting my judgement of Oliver colour my opinion here, I'm going purely on what I think of the incident regardless of the ref.
Red all day for me, the only problem I have is that other cynical attempts escape such censure. The Gomes tackle was bad, but it was part of an attempt to get the ball - there is no such mitigation for the earlier one.

Oliver imo is a home town ref so i was just shccked that he saw it and he gave a red away from home like that.

It was certainly a rake of the lower leg with zero intent to do anything but foul so people confusing it with last man etc

That's what i mean. I was shocked he pulled a red at wolves like that even though he is a home towner.

I suppose him leveling it up is even more of a shock
