Least the likes of Lankshear and Dorrington might get some minutes when Spurs are in the Championship next season.

If Ange is somehow still manager, they still won't get the pitch.

He'd put himself in the XI before them.

Yeah he’ll probably raid the likes of Hearts and Hibs for players for the promotion push.

could still sack him after. Did you prefer not to win the cup? It's a very odd thing to think imo

El Khanouss is a real talent and we'll sell him for probably treble what we paid (£20 mill) at some point... and Stolarcyk, who came through the academy, is also a great prospect between the sticks...

... and Vardy, even at 38, is still more clinical in front of goal than anyone you have ...

That apart, good luck for the rest of the season ...

PS ... does SarrMan sniff Tippex?

With the way we're playing, I wouldn't blame him if he did.

    I might start.

No football fan let alone a Spurs fan would prefer to go trophyless than win a trophy.

Just would be weird to finish 16th but win a cup and end up in Europe.

There's one on here who calls the League Cup the "season killer cup"
He most think they win it every year because their season is usually over by the end of Jan.

So the calm after yesterday’s almighty storm!

Saw a report saying it looks like Ange is going to live to fight another day. If he does make it through today then can’t see him going anywhere. We must be putting a lot of credence on things will get better once players become available again, getting out of imminent danger and fingers crossed winning a trophy.

likely to be 16th after next weekends fixtures though. All just one big mess at the moment.

    Bobby this is Spurs.

We don't know what to think anymore.

Trying to work out how Levy views football is like watching a toddler turn the keys in the ignition of a very expensive car and drive off. You have no idea how it will all end. It will probably end in disaster with numerous casualties along the way. But there's a part of you that has a glimmer of hope that somehow it will all work out for the best.

Kinda my point of a couple of weeks back. Build a young team from the bottom up. Getting out of the Championship wouldn't be a given and would be a hard baptism for some, but there's so much talent there that a years worth of experience at that level could create something special.
Whether we could hold on to them if we go down is another matter of course...

I'm not feeling that there's much in the way of grounds for optimism that things will get meaningfully better. We might beat Elfsborg, but I can't see us beating any of Brentford, Liverpool, Villa or United in the following games.

The main benefit of keeping Ange on the payroll, is that it gives time for someone to come up with a cunning plan, rather than drop Mason in it, up to his neck, and hope he doesn't drown.

If the next 3 games weren't all away from home, Levy couldn't wait to get rid of yet another chump, or there would be open hostility throughout the stadium, directed, quite rightly, at him. However, barring a miracle against the Scousers/Villa, Ange will be gone before we play United.

Not that you will go down, you won't - but you'd very likely come straight back up, like we did (and Southampton), and as the likes of Burnley and Sheff United have done before ... the parachute payments give a distinct (and perhaps unfair) advantage ... but your name, stadium, infrastructure and the fact that you are also in London, would mean you would also still attract top talent ...

...and also a massive scalp for any team coming down to us. Every game would be a cup final for someone.

Last season we set an all time club record for consecutive wins from the first game ... and we weren't that good tbh ... but there is a huge gulf ...

It's clear in the Toon, but I actually like dull grey sky. Wind a rain no and I don't like the sun either.
