I try as a rule to leave my playthings and my perambulator at home when I'm visiting ye olde hostelry. Experience has shown that the locals do not appreciate them. At least, not at my pub. Also, how do you know that the posts from the liverpool fan that agrees about the signing of over-rated players have not already been deleted?
After watching tonights game,it seems Lucas is going to be a really big loss.As for Spearing he did ok but Fulham did seem to get between the midfield and defence to easily. What other optoins do you have in that department(also with a 3 match ban for Spearing)?
Spearing will appeal the red card and probably have it rescinded - he clearly won the ball and there was not intent to injure the opposition player hence it was not a reckless challenge.
Erm Charlie Adam was £6mil(roughly) and he's 25 and Spur's wanted him but he turned you down, how is that a bad signing? he's been very good so far.
OK I'm a Fulham fan, so I will see things differently to you. I believe the red was completely legit by today's rules. OK, Spearing took the ball first (I agree with you here), but he did follow through and took Dembele's leg (see the photos on another thread here for further back up). That's a red, them's the rules.
In retrospect, I agree. Intent has little relevance to the actual challenge; a dangerous tackle is a dangerous tackle, whether you 'meant' it or not. Also, the club has decided not too appeal.
Well, against QPR, we may not play with a DM at all. But otherwise we may have to stick Agger there, or instruct Adam to hold back. The only central midfielders we have are Adam, Henderson and Shelvey, who are all quite attacking. Possibly Aurelio, if he's fit.
