Liverpool really do flatter to deceive. I genuinely think that we can finish above them this season, if MA invests properly in Jan. (Ok maybe we won't finish above them then! But you never know <laugh> )

Wonder if KD is still the blue eyed boy down there or if they'll be shouting for his head?

Liverpool were unbeaten in 11 in all competitions before tonight, so I don't think they'll worry too much!

They are alot like Arsenal. They rely on Suarez to give them the goals and what not. If he gets injured then I fail to see their options to replace him.

    Top 4 team my arse!

I agree no chance are they top 4.

I actually think Arsenal have a lot more quality than just Van Persie, and they would still do better than Liverpool without him, which is ironic given the fact Liverpool have spent 10x more!

I agree that Suarez is important for them though, I think come the end of the season the table will be.

Think it will be very tight between Chelsea and Arsenal for 4th place.

Far from it, we are still playing far better football than we were last season. Top 4 is a very big ask for us this season even if we had won tonight, as it stands there are 6 teams that are better than us at the moment. I wouldn't say Chelsea are too far ahead of us at the moment but without Lucas for the rest of the season any hope for top 4 looks bleak.
I think we will get more points than we did last season that would have seen us get top 4 then, but as the competition stands now I think it will only be enough to get 5th/6th.

How do you guys feel now Saylor is out for the season? When is Tiote back and how long is Colo out for? Big blow for you guys, here's hoping you can keep up the pressure on the top 4. <ok>

Bollocked, is the word. Season changer, definitely <ok>

No idea about Tiote, and Colo should be out for a couple of weeks by the sounds of it.

Arsenal will easily finish above Liverpool, so will Spurs unless they have some kind of extraordinairy meltdown. Arsenal and Spurs demolish smaller teams, while Liverpool always seem to struggle and only really turn up when playing rivals, derbies and so on. It's odd cause points vs the top six teams liverpool probably got more than anyone. They beat Chelsea, Everton and Arsenal away, drew to City and ManU at home, and only to Spurs they lost, albeit having 2 men sent off. This seems a recurring theme for Liverpool. They beat or draw to the big teams and then go and lose to Fulham or cannot get the much needed 3 points at home against Norwich or Swansea. It's something about how they play, it's too much of a power game and when the motivation isn't top notch, that 5% of less effort makes all the difference.

Also, what a waste Carroll is, don't recognise him anymore.

The defeat last night for Liverpool pretty much meant their win v Chelsea was meaningless. If they want to be top 4 they not only have to beat the big boys (which they did v Chelsea), but not drop points against the mid-lower table sides.

They're almost doing what we did last year. The only one of the top 6 to win at SJP was Man City, and away we drew at Chelsea and beat Arsenal. But then we'd **** up and lose at home to the likes of Blackpool, Stoke, Blackburn etc. Liverpool aren't losing to them, but draws against the likes of Norwich paint a similar picture.

Pretty much spot on, now if we win this weekend and Chelsea lose to City we wont overtake them in the table.
