I think Newcastle’s defeat by Bournemouth is playing tricks with my Geordie neighbour’s head.
He has texted to say he hopes to get 3 points but will settle for a draw.
I’ve done my best to assure him that he doesn’t need to worry and that they should be looking to match the 5 goals scored by Chelsea, Spurs and Brentford.

 

If we lose today, and Liverpool beat Ipswich...then we can no longer mathematically win the league
