Alzate is texhinically the best most accomplished player in the division. , he’s got all the time and poise in the world , his defensive work and covering for our left back was great last night - I hope we can keep him players at this level do not remain so fit long .
Significantly less ****ing about at the back results in a significantly better performsnce - good to see the defence move the ball upfield quickly and not be afraid of an agricultural hoof if necessary- clear the ball from danger and reset the lines
Jacob’s was inside just checked again . Major point for me is Sellés managing of ‘unfit’ players , hes taken time to get Alzate match fit , doing the same with Crooks , his player management is top drawer .
Wilder was very reserved... said we deserve the win, didnt go on about offsides or not simply said 'we lost a football game'. He did bemoan lack of players etc... WTF you should see our treatment room.. he was asked about Choudray signing Monday. If so, that weakens Luton in the way Cannon going from Stoke weakens them also maybe?. Warnock was full of praise too... Nice to hear...
We just need to keep our feet on the ground. Not over react when we next lose. There's a bit of a great escape 2.0 vibe with our recruitment.
Best thing is we've got a whole week to enjoy it, and being out of the bottom 3, without a midweek match to possibly bring us back down to earth (especially if it was at home)
I think it's a bit of horses for courses. The space Sheff Utd left in behind meant that moving the ball quickly worked well, but if a side sits back on us, lobbing it into 4-5 of their players isn't going to amount to much.
He stuck his foot and body in properly a couple of Times 'the look of oh that didnt hurt' on his face hopefully was the fire starter..
Something tells me crooks might become a culture hero over the next couple of years!!!! Macca level!!!!!
Which brings us back to the age old problem of our home form and how we struggle when teams sit off us and we have to dictate the game. I don't know what the answer is!
Just the two yellow cards. With all the afters, niggles and, out and out ****housery, it could have been more. Or maybe, like me, he was thinking, this can't be City. Selles seems to have fully grasped the notion, you do not progress in this league playing lightweight pretty football. At last, the defence, yes all nine of them, have a plan. And most importantly, nobody passed the buck, someone else can chase that, harry that, stop that. And, butt ****ing the blunts on their turf? Priceless.
Colin, Wilder and all of the other piggies would have gone to last night's game expecting a routine win. How good does it feel to put their snouts out of joint?
