By intervening at this point , through the authorities - be it police , school , social services , he MAY have stopped the attack on the girls he murdered . On the first point - social services had attended the house on numerous occasions in response to 'violent behaviour' - who called them? - might have been neighbours hearing a row - but might also have been the parents ... He called the second taxi from outside the house - the father overheard him calling the first one and stopped him ... he might well have stopped the second one if he'd heard it being ordered ... One day we might get to the bottom of some glaringly unanswered questions ...
