It's like I said about Pinkie, he's a hypocrite, dependent on who's making the rules.

We all know if the Tories had brought in the winter fuel payment cuts, all hell would have broke out on here from the socialists.

I'm not even a critic of Kier's I'm a critic of the bullshhite around pensioners.

Nah, like I said I think the policy of ending a blanket benefit is sound. Doesn’t matter who brings that in.

What is important though is that they work harder to make sure people don’t slip through the net.

Or just stick them on a bus like Boris said <laugh>

    Sounds fair to me

he’s been held hostage almost as long as some of the Israeli hostages.

Can we do some sort of prisoner exchange ? Bring back Aber and can the darts thread or summit ?

of course it's sound, not every pensioner is fortunate like your mum to have someone able to runaround and look after them. Let's just forget about the ones that are entitled and don't apply for various reasons. In my book as I said the other day, it makes you an utter **** at least you win at the politic stakes, bravo.

There you go getting all personal again. Calm your ****in tits. Nobody is saying forget about the ones who don’t apply. I’ve literally just said more needs to be done to make sure people don’t slip through the net.

Don’t care if Abe comes back or not. I think it’s pointless tho. He offers nothing but conspiracies and I’m in no doubt he’ll just get himself banned again within a week. Let’s not forget he’s a massive racist **** and a holocaust denier as well.

That was one post I lifted bro. I could sit here all day pulling them up of the socialists on here calling the Tories granny killers and all the rest of it.

Just shows people only pretend to care about certain things when it suits their political stance.

No food banks? Ffs, no, there were no food banks because jobs paid enough for people to cover their basic needs.

And today’s pensioners are precisely the generation who first had holidays abroad, jobs for life, and decent company pensions to look forward to on retirement. All of which has been stolen from their children and grandchildren.

Im not a big fan of the banning on here per se. I’d rather people debate the issues and if anybody is being overtly racist etc, then have it pointed out to them, sometimes it makes people think and reconsider.

Obvs if people are being disruptive and spamming the board or being offensive, endless name calling etc, then bin them off.

Aber’s stuff is petty mild compared to some of the stuff on GC. Who’s the poster again who thinks that Hitler is just misunderstood lol ?

Anyway, me advocating for Aber and Ern has probably just given them the kiss of death anyway <laugh>

It was my parents generation, who are now pensioners, who did well out of the right to buy. My parents bought their 3 bed semi in south London council estate for a song and sold it for something like 800% more than they paid for it.

They also managed to do that on a single wage as it was my dad who went out to work and my old dear stayed home to bring up the kids. He also had a very generous company pension; that my old dear still draws from today.

More of your utter bullshite. The man was generally the main bread winner, and if he didn't bring home enough there was not nothing to fall back on, other than begging.

The reason you are so bitter about them, is because you fooked your life up with drugs and alcohol and want someone to blame in life...well go find a mirror mate, we are all responsible for our own destiny.

I came from a poor family so I know what it's like, but guess what I don't constantly cry over the governments like you, but I'm fed up with you ****s constantly dissing our pensioners, one of which you will be one of soon.

and if you feel you lost work benefits, well where were your unions, you know the same unions that gave the train drivers on £60k a pay rise, the same union where you send a christmas bottle of whisky to there leader.

So fook off with your lies and bullshite, and go suck off your mass murderer Tony Blair.

Sounds like the pensioners up here are different to them in the south. Most of the ones I know don’t have a pot to piss in. I know there’s comfortable pensioners and good on them after contributing to society all of their lives.

No idea why you guys come across as so envious and bitter about them.

I don’t see anybody being envious or bitter about pensioners. I think they are just drawing parallels between how we n the past, working families could afford to buy a home on a single wage, whereas today lots of families have both parents working sometimes more than one job each and struggle to pay the rent and put food on the table.

We hope and assume that with each generation that passes, life gets easier for our children. But for the generation coming up now, the cost of living is the major concern for most families.
