It’s another example of Ange’s arrogance and also his amateur ways which have cost the club. You don’t need to be an expert or even study data to see that his kamikaze style won’t work because it’s just simply unsustainable.

Many of us said this season would be even worse because last season Spurs only had 41 games in all competitions so had plenty of rest time. This year with Europe back and domestic runs pretty guaranteed to be better than his first season, the club either had to give him significantly more players to cover the injuries or he would have to make changes to the playing style, neither happened and now here we are, Spurs are 15th in the league and missing over 10 players through avoidable injuries.

I knew **** all about him before he arrived. I had a completely open mind on his appointment.

However, appointing a coach with a training regime/playing style acknowledged to rack up injuries, in less physically demanding leagues than the PL, seems like a poor choice, given our squad always has holes in it, from our MO of giving the chump in charge not enough suitable squad members to play the way he wants.

Adding that unsuitability to his lack of experience in a major European league and reluctance to rotate players, makes one wonder why the **** he was appointed in the first place?

    Maybe, attacking football...?

    Maybe he was cheap...?

    Maybe Genaro Gattusso was busy?

The continual churn of unsuitable chumps means that I'm still not that bothered about him being sacked. He may be ****, but the next chump will be too...and any interim who may be appointed. The club should only give 1 year rolling contracts whilst the current regime are in place...or 6 monthly? Accept things for what they are and work with it. We're on the way to becoming Watford, anyway.

I had major concerns about him because of the way he plays, tactically I didn’t think it would work in England and also the intensity. Also didn’t think he was a good manager to manage at this level, being late 50s and managing in leagues like Australia, Japan and Scotland is just not comparable to the PL

I don’t get how fans like me and others could see the risks of it but Levy still decided to appoint him anyway. If I had to guess then I’d say it was because he wanted to try something very different and also because the compensation to Celtic wasn’t a huge amount of money.

I guess the thinking was we were hiring a much older version of someone like Potter. Someone who had success in more obscure leagues and could (hopefully) transform it into major leagues.

I was on board with it to be honest, perhaps naively but it felt like a path we’d not really gone down before when hiring managers. Plus having gone through three counter attacking managers it was also refreshing to see we were flipping the script with an attacking one albeit it feels like we’ve flipped a 180 when perhaps we needed more of a 90 degrees turn.

Either way, it’s been something that’s backfired monumentally. Many can take equal blame; the manager’s out of his depth and he’s shown as such, the board made the wrong appointment and the DoF has failed to give the types/ amounts of players he needs to (potentially) make his style successful.

Would love to see the initial chat between Levy and Ange. One of them has promised something to the other that they haven’t done, question is who?

To be fair, Ange is a phenomenal talker/ motivator. Type of guy who could’ve been a general for armies and inspire his troops to victory. Probably wooed Levy within two mins.

If Ange ever fancied being a sort of consultant at Spurs, to maybe give pre-match talks whilst another manager does the coaching and tactics, you’d probably have the recipe for success.

Is he really though? I’ve not seen anything from him that suggests he’s a great talker or motivator.

One wonders how quickly the question arises...

"So Mr Chump, if you're offered the job, will you say yes immediately?"

I fear that question gets asked and is higher up the agenda than should ever be the case, at any club. This job should be aspirational. Now, it's a passport to a P45 and a big compo cheque in 18 months. No wonder we spend all our money, given the rate we get through chumps.

    Yeah, man.

His speeches are unreal, you can see some clips of them throughout social media.

If his tactics and management matched his speeches he’d be unstoppable.

Remember how many transfers we got over the line in his first season entirely because Ange spoke with the player

It was certainly a deal breaker

...that's deal breaker in the positive sense, not deal breaker like talking to Villas Boas had them texting their agent PDQ

    Hell no.

One of the causes of Cardiff's relegation a few years ago was a clearly offside goal by Chavski. The lino claimed he couldn't see the offside player (when everyone else could) due to the close proximity of Willian's hair. <doh>

We should sign Willian and then lend him to Inverness

Why would it? We concede at roughly the same rate when he's in the team, going by that.
Most of that will be when he's paired with Ben Davies or more often Archie Gray.
A big chunk will also be without Vicario and Udogie, too.

The fact he's played more than Romero and Mickey Van combined basically shuts up his agent's main reason to kvetch about us

He doesn't strike me as the kind of agent to shut the **** up, unfortunately.
I'm sure he'll be angling for a move for his client in the summer.
