You were at the dreaded meeting when our Shares were declared worthless. I have disliked Richard Murray since then. The way he behaved at that meeting was awful.
"Money, so they say Is the root of all evil today But if you ask for a rise It's no surprise that they're giving none away, away, away....." Cracking lyrics on that particular song, though their lyrics were always top drawer. Like poetry sometimes. Wish you were here (the song and the album) are among my all time favourites. However, I digress. The more he says, the more I like Man Utd's new gaffer. He apologised for saying his men are the worst team in the Club's history, he was emotional straight after a humiliating defeat. That of course is why the media insists on interviewing managers just minutes after a game. To catch them in a heated moment and hope they say something they'll regret later. A cheap way to generate headlines in my view. Managers should be allowed an hour to cool off before being asked dumb questions. They have enough stress already - albeit they are well paid.
The results have gone very well for us tonight. Nice are 2nd bottom of the table and cannot qualify. They have supposedly left a few players in France so hopefully -5 and 3g will see a victory that will take us at least 4 places up. totteringham away next week might even see us get a point to doubly make sure of qualification. Absolutely gutted on missing this, the only ground of the 92 I have not been to.
We won, we're into the next stage atm. The odds are heavily stacked in our favour To get to the next stage, is I believe, home/away knock out, it is serious money for us getting through. Loose change back home.
Can't understand the fuss about Lewis-Skelly's red card at the weekend. His studs caught the other player on the side of his lower leg, above the ankle. The referee was about four yards away. Although most camera angles don't show the contact well he could see it plain as day. And if viewers look for it they'll see it too.
I think the red card was for studs contact with the player's leg above the ankle. Not because there were no covering defenders etc. From what I understand, if your studs catch a player's leg then you're off. Not saying that rule is right or wrong, but if that is the rule then the referee only followed it.
On a completely unrelated note, I had my first & probably last 50/1 treble yesterday. I can now afford to buy the club a player this week, although I won’t be offering.
totteringham fans finally realizing Levy is THE problem in N17. One trophy in 24 years under his stewardship. 1961 since their last title, big club, hmm
Motherwell manager resigns because of excessive fan abuse; https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cm27dml13yvo In the same week as the referee in the Wolves Arsenal game receives sick threats against himself and his family, for a harsh red card call. These kinds of threats and abuse is on the rise in all walks of life. Shop workers, call centre staff, doctors & nurses and even emergency service workers are abused and assaulted more than ever before. Our society is gradually becoming less humane and more bestial. Less tolerant and more hate-filled. It is saddening and disgusting.
Especially since he seems to have done a decent job there, taking 'Well from relegation position to top 6 in his two years, the most successful manager they've had for many years. He's done the right thing- who needs all that? Shame on their fans. Who will want the job there now?
