I believe I have just watched 45 minutes of football that showed every problem there is with Bristol City and no sign of redemption is on the horizon. Right at the end of the 45 minutes Twine held onto the ball for about a full minute and not one singly player tried to find space for Scott to pass and get a shot on goal. Nearly all of the players that we thought might give us a better chance of being competitive have fallen asleep on their perches and seem totally disinterested by their body language alone. Who was it that stood on the edge of our penalty area when they scored and made no attempt to get in the face of his prey giving them an almost free shot to go up 1-0? As sorry a first half performance that makes me want to say that we have fallen back into the murky ways of our past and possibly our future. When you look at a player like Mayulu is he so awful that we made a mistake in signing him or is he being strangled by Manning's tactics and positions because I think many players have benefitted after they leave Ashton Gate and Semenyo is a classic case in point. Is BS3 a place where average players come to finish their careers or is it our imagination gone wild? I can't see us coming back to take any points today and if that is the case then somebody need to read the riot act to those who dare to insult our intelligence by consistently producing this rubbish. Manning has become another sacrificial lamb on the chopping block, and although I want to support him I am really starting to lose patience and even his post match comments reek of excuses much like others from our past.
Taking off McCrorie and Sykes for 2 full backs when we're in the driving seat says it all about Manning. Don't start me on Mehmeti !
MUCH better - why do we wait until 70 minutes before turning up? Could’ve won it if only Bell’s effort was an inch lower. Good point in the end. Well done lads and Liam - but why do you make it so difficult for yourselves?
Mehmmeti has a great chance with freedom ahead of him late on in the game and his usual selfishness loses him and City of a decent chance on goal. Although a point may be acceptable to some based on our lousy performance I think our play stinks and a lot of that has to be down to coaching and possible set-up but the biggest issue is that we never learn from our constant mistakes. How about Rob Edwards ex of Luton who got them there
Very curious subs, crying out for Armstrong to cause some havoc in the middle, and he brings in 2 full backs…..
I only saw the last 20 mins, and it was all City camped in their final third. So many balls into the box, but we have no height to trouble anyone…
