Off the top of my head I’d say the goal was excellent, the piledriver from Isidor could’ve gone anywhere, his run from our penalty area was immense, the Le Fée free kick good, the cutback to Cirkin top class, the second goal was brilliant from the through ball to the finish and a few other chances weren’t just ordinary.

The defending was good, another clean sheet, and Patterson did what he’s there for.

We all knew it was going to be a tough L1 style game but I can’t accept we were just ordinary tbh.

People questioned the Ballard sub but I liked it

Roberts helped us slow the game down on numerous occasions

    Well done RLB

Only 5/1, still annoying to lose out in that manner though. I also had a tenner on the Burnley game 1-0 Isidor, that was 16/1, stung even more... and twice <laugh>

I think he is class and shows unbelievable promise considering his age and how little experience he has!

Out of interest where did the referee resume play?

If it was for offside it should’ve been a yard into their half.

It was given as offside. That’s never handball in a million years

might be wrong but sure i read he restarted with a free kick just outside the box, which would suggest a foul by isidor, which was actually caused from the defender running behind him...now, the ref and 'active' linesman pretty much signalled a goal, if the call was made by the 'non active' linesman then he had the worst possible view of all three but probably slightly better than the 4th official.

very good. Would have probably brought salis on even earlier and maybe kept Cirkin on and taken O’Nien off. But Ballard and Roberts coming on when they did was right.

A lot of people cannot believe how much Jobe has improved from last season, I think Mayenda has improved massively too. This time next year we could be talking about yet another prized asset with a 7-figure price tag.

Good, I said he should be last night.
Terrible decision regardless of the word in his ear.

Review rather than investigated and there’s 3 outcomes it’s either

    A) you took too long to make your decision but it was the correct one. In which case they’ll get a slight mark down on the game
    B) you took too long and it was the wrong decision so they’ll get stronger guidance and drop them down the merit table for future promotions etc
    C) they came to the conclusion outside of regulations (using the monitor) whether they tried to do that or not. If it was used and influence the decision they’ll get the same as B) plus punishment which is likely a 2 week ‘rest’ meaning no matches or match fees for 2 weeks

they’re lucky it didn’t impact the game, which will likely also be told to them

.absolutely right too. It was bull man. If no derby player was in the ear it wouldn't have been overturned. Would have kicked off from the half way line.

The surprise of the players made the refs change their mind. That's the worst ever that.

Interesting, but it sounds a bit lenient to me. Nothing makes sense. It wasn't offside, and wasn't given offside, and if it isn't given by the lino once the player involved gets on the ball, it isn't offside.

Hand ball wasn't given because it wasn't handball, or a free kick would have been in their box immediately, not after a minute.

It was all very, very .. well let's just say unusual, though a stronger word could be used.

They should not officiate together again, and they are indeed very lucky that the result was not affected. There would have been justifiable hell on.
