Anyone else seen the article on the BBC where Bullard is quoted as saying, "Finances aren't everything I'm about, football's my main prerogative - hopefully I can give a positive answer at the end of the season,"

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/i/ipswich_town/9407694.stm

If finances weren't what he was about why didn't he go to Celtic at the start of the season? League wise it's similar in stature to the Championship, only with the option of European football too...what a grade A plonker, fingers crossed he loves his time in Suffolk and will move there on reduced wages at the end of the season

Well if you heard what AP had to say a few weeks ago, Jimmy has agreed to scrap his £6,000 appearance fee (it's about £6,000) which is what makes up his reported £45,000 p/w. As such, he's slashed his wages to about £30,000 p/w. Though since he's not playing for us any more that will be irrelevant. The point is though, he did agree to a wage cut.

I had not heard that, i thought Ipswich were covering around 20k of his wages and we were stumping up the rest, believed to be in the region of 25K

He probably is, it was pure tokenism by AP to send Bullard out on loan, that was Duffen's big signing and AP wanted him gone, I doubt financial or footballing reasons where behind this move.

Come the end of the season, hopefully he'll be back here and be playing well this season. He hasn't had the chance to shine here really, and unlike most football fans City fans can't grasp the fact that most footballers get paid in a week what you're unlikely to get in a year, and jealously comes into it, "£45k a week? You need to score at least 5 goals a game". Best player we've had and we need him back.

Sorry, I cant believe you have posted that. I dont doubt Bullards football ability, but the man has tossed it off whilst at City. Its not his fault he is bing paid what he is, thats Duffmans fault and Browns for going along with it. But his reputed reputation about what he has been up to goes before him. There is no smoke without fire and the last injury was caused by being pissed and injuring himself. Thats why it was the last straw for AP and I would support him for shipping him out. There was also the bad influence he was having on the younger players and there is no doubting that the friendship of Bullard and Shbee had a really detrimental effect on Ash as a player, coming back to pre season well overweight for a start. I think you should read what you have written and think again mate.

We don't need him back if he is going to play like he did in his last few appearances. It seems like he has had enough of playing for city so it is best for everyone that he finds a new club.

It's a joke to say we need him, we're on one of the best runs we've had for years and he hasn't played any part in it at all. He's turned Ashbees head to the extent that he left the club and also been a bad influence on the younger lads.

I've read what I posted, thought again, but I've decided to stick by it.

I don't listen to rumours and this "no smoke without fire" is obviously bollocks, because for instance I could state that Adam Pearson throws kittens off buildings for fun, it's not true, and saying "there's no smoke without fire" doesn't make it any truer.

Back onto the point at hand, I didn't see any detrimental effect on Ash as a player, this season he's been as good as ever, so I'm not sure where that one came from. Furthermore, don't you think it's weird how he can be "brilliant" for any team other than City, obviously he has some issues with AP and I think it'd be best for the club if they sat down hashed them out, AP aplogise and get Jimmy Bullard back playing for Hull City to push for the Premiership, there's no doubt the guy has talent and him at his best will make us a much stronger team.

Then again I don't think he's been terrible for this season, just a case of people expecting more because of the reported amount of money he's on.

The last time I rememeber seeing him play was the 1-4 loss to burnley and he was so uninterested he looked hungover and it just pissed me off.

That was the last straw for me anyway.

Also i say the last time i remember seeing him play because i may have seen him play since but he was so non existent i didnt realise.

I thought you had me on ignore?

Let's see, for openly criticising him when he didn't want to go to Celtic, freezing him out the squad at the beginning of the season, not even giving him a squad number etc.

AP has been very unprofessional in his approach to Bullard, and coming towards the end of the season, we may miss out on the play-offs because of it.

Also, what's wumming? Is it some internet phrase, I've honestly never heard it before.

Christ, you really don't pay attention then do you? He scored twice. Poor attempt at humour.

Seriously though, name one player who played well in the 4-1 loss to Burnley.

    TWF,

FFS you clearly enjoy being abused..

in order to understand "the game" better I suggest dressing yourself up this evening in hotpants, eyelashes & mince your way down to Pearson Park.. cos you're a grade A gimp!

Even so i still dislike his unprofessional attitude on and off the pitch and i think the club is alot better off without him.

Have you actually been to any matches this season, especially the early ones. Dont just take my word for it, ask anyone just how rotund Ashbee was. He turned up as fat as Parkin did in his last season. At Millwall and other matches the game just passed him by. There wasnt the same drive and determination from him. Bullard was non existant and was dropped like Ashbee. This is not fiction, this is fact. Both players have now gone so that says it all rweally. Did you not know that early this season Bullard was sent home from training because he was unfit to train as he had been on the piss the night before. How much more do you need to show just how unprofessional he has been.

I did not know that, could you send me a link to where you read it? It sounds interesting.

As for the rest, at the beginning of the season the whole team was terrible, I also thought the fans treatment of Parkin was unfair and unnecessary too. Our form turned around when Ash came back in the team though.

As for the lame "have you been to any matches this season" response, every home game and Derby away, if that helps.

Silly me, I forgot if you could get paid over a certain amount you can't have time off.

Golf's so cliched for a footballer though.
