Horses for courses and the chances of having everyone available for any one game is basically zero anyway.

There are games for Frey and games for Lloyd and Kolli or even both with Kolli deeper or in Chair’s spot.

Cook when fit is still my number one CB and Dunne is by far the strongest RB. Well impressed with Edwards but too soon to say for sure and having a left/right footer does help. Fox, fair play to him, probably doesn’t make anyone’s strongest XI but you can’t fault him over these last few games. JCS maybe is off at the end of the season or just crocked longer term than we thought.

The midfield three I think is set when fit. Good to have Colback in reserve and the ghost of Copenhagen can drift about to keep others fresh when we’re 5-0 up with two minutes to go.

No doubting that the midfield three of Field, Varane and Morgan is our best and that Dunne is our best RB. I'm also happy with Paal at LB. If all our CBs were fit it would be quite tough to pick the best pairing. I'd place them in this order - JCS, Cook, Morrison, Edwards, Fox. Any two of these is fine, though. With Chair still well below his best form, I'd go with Smyth and Saito in the wide positions. No clear winner for number nine.

He’s the sort of bloke you want your daughter bringing home. Probably just wafts it around without getting close to sticking it in.

Hevertton Santos is another who has dropped down the pecking order.
Love ‘The Ghost of Copenhagen’ reference, maybe given his height he could be a backup ghoul keeper.

Disloyal as it is I am thinking Morrison, Edwards as the future at CB if money allowed. I know it is an early shout

A stronger squad is demonstrated by the fact I think we could sell JCS and Chair and not blink.

Well, the way we are set up seems to be working, so I wouldn’t change it at the moment. But there were lots of calls for two up front when we were playing crap.

We play 4-5-1, sometimes shifting into 4-3-3. If we wanted to add to the attack I’d like to see one of the five playing much further forward all of the time - the role can be rotated during the game, not a set second striker.

But if we had to drop a midfielder it would be Chair.
